Holy Cross 17

Beechwood 6 5 inn.

Dayton over Heritage in 5 inn.

Congrats NCC!

Congrats to Haley on her first no hitter!!

Some exciting games in Newport tonight!

I was impressed with several of the Beechwood girls, (#'s 10,6,3) #10 made one heck of a catch in center field on a ball hit in the left center gap. I felt so bad for the girl from HC that hit it, not sure she has hit to many balls out of the outfield then smokes a ball that would have had a chance to be gone on a field with normal fences and a girl makes one great catch on the ball.

I hate fields with out fences!

That was one hell of a catch, when it left the bat we both thought that was easily going for extra bases. The young lady made a nice read on the ball and NEVER gave up. :ylsuper:

Coach Dave Meier has a very young team at Villa. However just like at Notre Dame, he will build the program and lead them in the right direction. :thumb:

Big Congrats for Haley! What a great kid, I see big things ahead for her with her willingness to work and her attitude.

Couldn't agree more. Dave is a very good coach and Villa will do well with him at the helm. Good luck coach. Is Dave coaching any summer ball this year?

Congrats to the 8th grader Haley on her no hitter.
