The title of this post reminds me of a NFL game from decades ago when Green Bay hosted Tampa Bay. The scoreboard operator simply put Tampa on the board. The next time Green Bay traveled to play the Bucs, the scoreboard operator returned the favor by labeling the visiting team as Green.

Trimble also lost the other Rexroat to a move. Also lost two V sophomores to Carroll Co. I still think they will be improved from last year. Coach May is working hard.

Three starters return: Clifford, Black and Duke. Riddle returns after taking off her junior season. They will be looking for some improved play out of Tilley and Ponder and also look for some younger players to develop.

Lady Raiders graduated five. Of those, three got major playing time with two being starters and one the first off the bench. The other two got limited playing time.

Early talk had Trimble and Oldham fighting for the 29th this season. We will see how that plays out. Maybe South will make it a three horse race. Always fun to speculate.

They are and should be much improved.

I had to pause and look at last season's thread after reading this one. 15-16 will be a season I won't soon forget. Dreams start to become reality on Saturday. Good luck to all.

From the Oldham Era web site: Oldham County has hired Chris Jefferson as its next girls head basketball coach. Jefferson earned his first head coaching job last season at Holy Cross (Louisville), where the Cougars finished 13-15 with a loss in the 21st District semifinals. Jefferson replaces former Lady Colonels’ coach Brian Hood, who resigned in April after one year as head coach. Jefferson has 18 years of coaching experience with stops at Butler and South Oldham. The Lady Colonels finished last season 12-18 with a first round region tournament loss to Owen County.

Just for clarification, it's Kaylee Clifford from Trimble County. Also need to add Alex Clifton of Owen County to the list. She should be set for a good senior year in 16-17.

Oldham County head coach Brian Hood resigns, per the Oldham County Twitter account. No other details.

Isley has been an assistant on the high school level and a head coach at the middle school. From what I've heard so far, this seems to be a popular choice.

Trimble County will announce their new head football coach Monday, April 11 at 5pm in the TCHS library. I will do my best to get the name asap.
