This list seems decent. How is it compiled? One persons opinion? Or several? Or coaches?

I was told the person that does the previews for Cats Pause reaches out to every coach and asks them for comments on their team and the other teams in the region. Seems that way because there are many quotes by coaches in the articles

District 29 has some younger players not getting any love. There are two in 2019 class playing at one of the top AAU programs in the country. But, these lists are always fun to look at.

Maggie Jones might be the best kid in the region at SK. Quick, Athletic and skills. She also can guard high end athletes.

No question Maggie is a top player. Not sure I'd be ready to give her the nod over even the other SK girls though listed above? Is that what your saying? She was a great 3pt shooter last year, finished over 40%, that has to be one of the highest in the state with a minimum of 50-60 attempts.

SK is returning all of its starters and has a couple of strong freshman coming back this year. Maggie Jones and Morgan Stamper had strong performances last year as 8th graders on the Varsity squad. Combined with the SK players previously mentioned, SK should have another strong showing this year if they can stay healthy. Hopefully with a Regional title.

Megan Buckner's injury will have a negative impact. But there's good enough depth to overcome it.

Lady Raiders graduated five. Of those, three got major playing time with two being starters and one the first off the bench. The other two got limited playing time.

The two that return are obviously their two best players.....but if I remember correctly their JV was really weak. Trimble is going to need 2-3 kids really step up and play those supporting roles.

Three starters return: Clifford, Black and Duke. Riddle returns after taking off her junior season. They will be looking for some improved play out of Tilley and Ponder and also look for some younger players to develop.
