Happened in Owenton last night in a 73-58 win over Simon Kenton. Dunaway joined the 1000 point club last year as a junior at Trimble County. His mom, Marcia Haney Dunaway, is also a member of the 1000/1000 club. Congrats to Michael!!!

Like mentioned above, during the first quarter, I thought this was going to be a game for the ages. Great first 8 minutes. When Trimble's Black got into foul trouble, they went to a zone and from there it was lights out. WV's Simpson really did some damage. Best wishes to WV in Frankfort! Also, in talking with players, these two teams seem to have a great mutual respect for each other, not just on the court, but off the court too.

Mefford did a great job continually changing his game plan as the game went on. He took advantage of the officials not blowing their whistles and had a very aggressive full court defense. That last what got Gallatin back in the game. If Trimble had not got the quick start, GC would be playing in the final on Friday.

Gallatin is playing really good basketball and Trimble is without Gonterman again tonight. I look for a really good game. I see this one going either way.

Also, what if a student is tossed for chanting one of the above phrases? What are you going to yell at him if you can’t yell “You can’t do that!” The above line in the story is my favorite.
