Saw a post last night from Principal Duane Kline that school is closed at Owen County but as of last night, the 1st round tournament games were still on. I'll update if that changes.

Gallatin is playing really good basketball and Trimble is without Gonterman again tonight. I look for a really good game. I see this one going either way.

You are correct. Trimble jumped out big time on Gallatin and was able to outlast a late Gallatin push. I left with a minute and a half left and Trimble was up 12 or 14. As per the KHSAA scoreboard, the final score was 44-34.

 

Walton won the first game over Carroll County 65-45. Walton was led by Morgan Simpson with 20. Hailey Ison had 19.

 

Trimble and Walton square off in the final Friday evening at 7pm.

Mefford did a great job continually changing his game plan as the game went on. He took advantage of the officials not blowing their whistles and had a very aggressive full court defense. That last what got Gallatin back in the game. If Trimble had not got the quick start, GC would be playing in the final on Friday.

Ison is the star and will do her part, but have said numerous times that Simpson is the key for Walton to be successful.
