Well this is a surprise.

Think Ed is pretty much spot on. The current Junior class is not very talented. A couple of guys are good but not much depth. I am also not sold on the current QB, who is a Junior, and would rather see Witherspoon in that position. The 8th grade class is solid, but they will also be bolstered by some kids from J.T. Alton. I have heard several of those kids are very good (C.J. Hill's younger brother will be at JH next year). My only concern for this year's Freshman class is I have heard a few may be moving out of state. Hope these are rumors but a couple of very talented kids may not be at JH in the future.

Things are definitely looking good with our Freshman and Sophomore classes.

Agreed. And the fact is they have North Hardin's number. I like North Hardin's young QB but Meade does not give up the big play and I don't think North can sustain long drives without making a mistake. Meade will roll in this one.

Never thought I would say this, but Grayson should win this one by 2 TDs.

Iroquois should win this one rather handily.

BC is much improved but I don't think they can beat SK. SK wins by 3 TDs.

I have been impressed with Central Hardin all year but I was very impressed with Meade County. Their defense is disciplined and the kids know their fundamentals. I was actually surprised with how well they withstood Central Hardin's rushing attack throughout the game. That being said, I am more excited to see a potential Central Hardin vs. Scott County matchup and a Meade County vs. Bryan Station matchup in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Should be very exciting.

This game stung because it was against North. John will not beat Grayson next week but I think they will get in because I don't see Jeffersontown beating Iroquois. This is just not a good team, injuries or not. This year and next year are going to be tough pills for us to swallow but I and many other JH fans are so high on our freshman and sophomores that this is just a bump in the road and we will be back on top soon enough.

Purple88, You are right on. It has become somewhat of a tradition with BG and JH playing the day after Thanksgiving. On a side note, I love all of these folks on this board that say 4A will be down and be easy to win with Highlands and Covington Catholic moving up to 5A next year. Beginning in 2016 I will take JH over both of those teams any day of the week. I would love to see our Freshman play Highlands just to give them a glimpse of the future.

I prefer 10 minute quarters, even at the freshman level. I notice #25 against Fairdale and that kid is huge and is going to be a bruiser the next 3 years.

I missed this one. Number 10 is Anthony Witherspoon and he may well be the best athlete to ever come through JH. This is the first time he has played QB so he will only get better. I would love to see these kids play Male again. Male will be very good when their freshmen are upper classmen. Much like they are now.

Good win against a very good Central Hardin team.

Losing Elijah Smith is a huge hit for John Hardin. Gavin Root not so much. John's issues will not be their backcourt, it will be down low. They have another kid named Tony Thomas who is a very good shooter and some young kids who can certainly play in the backcourt. Their lack of height will be what ultimately does them in IMO as I believe their only player with any size is a Freshman named Mickey Pearson who goes about 6'3" on a good day. Witherspoon is around 6'2" but is not a low post player. Other than that, they will be a guard oriented team who presses most of the time.

From what I hear from Bruin fans it was 1999 or something like that. Not exactly sure the year. I believe Meade has won 13 straight times.

If there is ever a year for Central Hardin to beat Meade County, it's this year. I think they will beat Meade this week. They are talented, have good line play, and I like the Krupinski kid at QB, even though he is throwing it a lot less this year. It should be a low scoring game but I would take Central Hardin 17-14.

They are just angry right now. I'm not sure Fort Knox even has a high school in a few years if things keep going the way they are right now.
