For John Hardin I would add Jeremy Harness (Murray State) and Matt Elam (UK).

Wow, that's a tough one - a lot of great players to pick from. How about Jared Lorenzen and Derek Smith...

Adding mine from Owensboro I would go with Mark Higgs (UK) and Justin Miller (Clemson). Superspeed out of both of those guys, Miller could play def or RB/WR. Higgs had moves and power at that age. In the current offense, both could be utilized greatly.

Off the top of my head for Beechwood I would add a couple of stud, two way players. Again, off the top of my head give me Greg Hergott and Dustin Menetery. Hergott was a great QB and LB. Went to UK and UC. Menetery was a phenomenal RB and he played Nose Guard or Safety depending on the situation. Menetery played several skilled positions at Georgetown.

 

Put those two guys on Beechwood's team and they would crush Mayfield.

Not as easy at that. With the level that Beau is playing to you pass on Lorenzen and go with another position that is not as strong? I personally don't know what position that might be, just food for thought.

I can't seem to edit my initial post - but it would be bringing them back as they were in high school, not the NFL or college.

 

For Owensboro Higgs and Miller both played in the NFL, but were great in high school as well.

Probably with THIS team, I'd add the Slaughter Brothers or two linemen, Billy Roberts and Ray Correll would come to mind.

I would take Lorenzen if I were a Highlands fan, and that's not to take away from Hoge, but Lorenzen completely dominated the high school game. NO way any team could stop him in 4A this year.

 

Also @ HHS - what about Hamblen, Grover or Rob Smith? Smith was a monster lineman. I recall a video of him blocking Michael Bush and it was ownage.

I thought he was a lock for the NFL too. Got a shot with the Colts (I believe) but was cut. I am sure someone else "in the know" can tell you more.

I think he was in camp with the Rams too. Had the talent to play in the NFL but I wonder if all the time playing hoops could have been better spent developing his football skill set.

Boyle- Lamar Dawson(USC) and Jacob Tamme(Kentucky and Broncos)
