Undefeated Central Hardin will travel to Shelbyville Friday night to take on the Titans on their senior night. After starting the season 0-3, Collins has won 3 in a row including 2 district games. They will take a break from district play for a week to play their third and final 6A opponent of the year.

Central Hardin will bring a potent rushing attack lead by junior Xavier Arnette. Collins will have to continue to play excellent defense in order to slow down the unbeaten Bruins. This will be Collins' final home game of the regular season.

Any thoughts or predictions?

I am thinking that this just might be a must game for the Titans. With a trip to N. Oldham in a couple of weeks, a loss to N. Old would throw the District into a 3 way tie. Collins needs to get some non district wins. At this time, Collins is several points behind in points. The Collins D is playing outstanding and looking forward to them going up against a good running back.

Collins 17-14

I agree it could get that way but don't think it will.

Collins won the state title last year and couldn't beat Central Hardin (which got waxed by Meade twice).

From what I can gather:

- Collins is down this year

- Central Hardin is better this year

Taking that into account, IF Central is as good as people think it is, then CH better roll in this one.

But CH has a habit of letting some strange teams hang around (North Hardin, Mercer).

So who knows.

If Collins keeps it close, wouldn't surprise me too much. CH can't get its foot on the pedal (and for a program which has still accomplished little historically compared to John Hardin, Meade, Elizabethtown, Knox, that's sad CH has that mentality).

If Collins wins, it shows just how good of a coach they have (and how different of a team CH is away from home).

I remember the Central Hardin game last year. Dre Farris went out after the first play and Collins played poorly. After that loss they really turned it on and never looked back. Losses are never good but after two straight weeks of less than stellar play they started playing on another level after the Central Hardin game.

As for this year, Collins isn't quite as good as last year and Central Hardin seems to be just as good if not better.

Collins will need their offense to step up more this week. They have gotten a little better, but are still struggling, especially for a Jerry Lucas coached team. Their defense has been playing very well and has done a great job stopping the run but Central Hardin is a much better team than Spencer County. They are going to have to score some points in order to beat them, they can't rely on their defense alone to hold CH to 1 or 2 touchdowns. I don't know if Collins can win this game but I think they can keep it close.
