I am looking for Cooper to come ready to play. If they do and play with the intensity on defense and control tempo the Jags will have a shot. Playing at Holmes on Friday night will be a tall order. I agree Cooper won't out score Holmes in a running game. Looking for a game in the 50's.

Congratulations to the Jags. Good job on playing with a positive and discipline spirit showing great sportsmanship. Also congrats to Coach Borchers and his staff for setting high expectations for the boys to reach.

Why would the admin be against "theme" nights? I can't see that unless there was poor taste or something crude about it. Let the kids have fun.

According to the schedule I have the above times and games are correct. The Saturday morning games of Lloyd/Clinton and Cooper/Villa are in main gym and the other 2 are in Tichenor gym. The 4th place teams from pool play will play 4 pm, 3rd place teams play at 5:30, 2nd place teams play at 7:15 and 1st place teams play at 9:00 pm Saturday afternoon/night.

I thought Dixie really moved the ball well. Sometimes teams with a stud player can get complacent and not really get everyone involved. Without Hatton Dixie did the opposite and really kept the ball moving. I would still want a healthy Hatton on my team and hope for a quick recovery for him. Congrats to Dixie on the win. The Bach kid from Augusta made some unreal shots and a couple of deep 3's late.

I saw where Mason County had not been held to 34 points since 1988. Congrats to Cooper.

It's a great opportunity for the boys of Union to get to play in a place so full of history such as The Fieldhouse.

Cooper had 2 starters, Maniacci and Hathorn battling foul trouble. It was good to see 2 others, Holland and Shelton, come off the bench and pick up some scoring. Holland is a ball player. Cooper will play Mason County tomorrow night.

NCC bigs will dominate Campbell. I like Campbell but think the bigs of NCC will wear him out. NewCath wins going away.

Just about what you would expect from a rivalry game. Cooper got a little breathing room and didn't slam the door on Ryle. Hats off to the Raiders for battling back and actually taking the lead late. Great crowd and student support from both schools. I actually thought the stripes did a decent job in this game. Way better than Cooper's last 2 games. As mentioned above a bad night at the free throw line almost cost Cooper the win. Counted at least 10 misses from the starters alone.

Is Saunders hurt?

If Conner plays the way tonight the way they have played lately, no chance the ride back to Hebron will be joyful and merry.

Cooper plays Bishop O'Connell at 6 Friday night and Scott Co plays Rule at 8.

I know Scott Co plays the Bishop O'Connel team from VA second on Saturday night. There are two different teams playing the first game Saturday night.

Just another step forward for this Cooper team. Going on the road and getting a win after winning an emotional game over a rival is a positive.

The Camels are very tough at home. Big road game for Jags after an emotional win last night. Looking for the Seniors of Cooper to take charge.

Looking forward to a good old high school basketball game tonight. Funny things can happen in rivalry games.

I take it SSC is referring to the hassle that Conner made of the request to reschedule this game from December 1 when Cooper played the football game. Superintendent Poe had to become involved to reschedule the game.

Cooper really showed their potential this game. It will be fun to watch this team develop this season.

It should be a good game. I think some of the football players will be in tonight. It will be interesting to see how the team chemistry of Cooper will develop over the next few weeks with some players moving from starters to support roles. I don't expect problems, just want to watch that dynamic.
