Cooper 59 Ryle 57

Featured Replies

#31 AJ Collins leaned in a basket at the 2 second mark for the win. Cooper hangs on to a win over a Ryle team that would not go away and battled back and forth all night.

Rivalry game...wouldn't expect anything less. Big district win for the Jags.

Congrats to Cooper!

A win over Ryle is a hard fought win.

I was impressed with Ryle's perimeter defense as Cooper couldn't get an open shot all night. Maniacci went off as no one could guard him. I'm guessing around 25 points with double digit rebounds.

#5 for Ryle could not miss and hit contested jumpers all night.

Cooper went up by 7-9 points a couple of times but then fell asleep on transition defense and let #2 drive uncontested to the rim a few times. Cooper still has to learn how to put teams away once they get the lead but Ryle fought hard as well.

Cooper had to miss 10-15 free throws which they had been doing well from the line.

Big time shot for AJ. He couldn't get open all night and I think only had 4-5 points all night but drove and hit the 15 ft leaner while being closely guarded. CLUTCH!!

Great game and great last second shot by Collins for Cooper.

Unfortunatley some of these games are getting really hard to watch due to the officiating. I know it's already been brought up about how the officials are to not let games get out of hand and into more of a brawl etc. But it is hard for a team to get any momentum when there are so many phantom fouls called, on both teams. I think I've seen more phantom fouls called in just a couple games than I've seen in an entire season in the past. Gets a little old.

This was a hard fought game and both teams played with great energy. These kids know each other and these games are big and they go after it. I was very impressed with Ryle as they are better then most people think.

I thought the refs where better than they have been. Some questionable calls but all in all they did a good jobs. The kids seem to be understanding what they can an can't get away with.

Good win for the Jags and looking forward to this weekend in Mason County.

Just about what you would expect from a rivalry game. Cooper got a little breathing room and didn't slam the door on Ryle. Hats off to the Raiders for battling back and actually taking the lead late.

Great crowd and student support from both schools.

I actually thought the stripes did a decent job in this game. Way better than Cooper's last 2 games.

As mentioned above a bad night at the free throw line almost cost Cooper the win. Counted at least 10 misses from the starters alone.
