What happened to Cooper's coach? Is he finished for the year, for good or what? Is this good news or bad news for the Lady Jags?

 

According to the Enquirer this morning, Coach Terwilliger resigned due to personal reasons. JV Coach Dave Schneider has taken over the program for now.

I wish nothing but the best for Coach T. Good luck to the players also.

Sorry to hear that! Hope the Jags are headed in the right direction. On the bright side, Camp Ernst and Ockerman have more than a few solid athletes knocking on their door. Hope next season's coach considers some 8th graders for the Varsity level.

Best wishes to Coach Terwilliger and his family. The girls seemed to really enjoy playing for him.

 

This team has already surpassed their win total from last year and is playing good basketball. I believe that Coach Schneider and Coach Tharp will keep the girls moving in the right direction. Good luck to all of the Cooper players and coaches.

Hopefully nothing to serious going on as he seemed like a good person and accomplished what you stated Budman.

Budman is Cooper targeting any coach for next year or does it look like the assistants will take over?

He is done for the year. To answer your question it is good and bad. Bad because the girls liked him and bought into his system. Good because he didn't go very deep into the bench and now more girls might get a chance to play. He was a nice guy and seemed to know his game, but I think people question his rotations and substitutes.

 

Good luck to him none the less. The lady jags will be fine. We are Cooper!

Does Boone Co. Schools allow middle schoolers to play up?

There have been players play up in the past. Moss and Crittendon played at Ryle and Conner had a couple of kids play up as 8th graders last year.

I believe that Coach Terwilliger was doing a very good job with the girls. They seemed to really enjoy playing for him. His biggest obstacle was getting familiar with his scheduled opponents. Not being from this area he did not have a lot of knowledge about teams and personnel.

 

I believe that Coach Schneider and Coach Tharp will continue to do good work with the girls.
