  1. Former 12u Xplosion members include: Elizabeth Sims Sydney Himes Hanna Straley Jess Koors Kirsten Mains Dallis Knotts Jordan Kramer Molly Dietz Carly Roark Ali Crupper Paige Thompson Haylee Smith I think I got this right. This was 2 12U teams. Crupper may have been playing 14U, I can't recall. Hope I didn't miss any.
  2. Wow. One week out of surgery. Way to gut it out Bailey.
  3. This is Northern Kentucky softball. 8th and 9th graders are varsity, 6th and 7th graders JV (or occasional varsity), 4th and 5th graders make up your freshman class for many. New Cath seems to be ahead of the curve here! Just kidding of course, but not really.
  4. My daughter plays third and I have been trying to get her to use a mask but she had always refused. Then, while watching Highlands play in a tournament setting, she saw Shelby hit a screamer down thirdbase line foul. She imagined what it would have been like if the ball was fair and she was playing at the time. We went to Dicks the next day. Thanks Shelby.
  5. Florence Freedom field. Has a nice ring to it.
  6. You know he has always, deep down, wanted one just like it! I have a couple of old red ones if you need multiple!
  7. "I know she will be benched for not making the All A and that is justified" If she had this cleared months in advance by her coach, why would benching be justified? Seems to me it is either OK or not. If Ok, its OK and if its not its not. I don't get it.
  8. Congrats on the trip and I am sure it was a good time. Your shortstop hurt? Its a shame she had to miss the tourney.
  9. Player of the year in the region? I know who gets my vote.
  10. Yeah, I really don't get the angst against the tourney. I know that at least as far as softball is concerned no one that I have seen thinks they have "won the region" by qualifying for this tourney. I don't know that anyone considers it a true state championship either. Perhaps that is because realistically, no one has thought from the 9th region that they could win it. From what I have seen the girls really like the opportunity to travel and play in a tourney atmosphere with overnight stays. It is a blast. Thank Touchstone for sponsoring it.
  11. Seems to me I missed the last no hitter she threw as well. Guess I should miss all tourney games from here on out. If only Lawnboy could text me play by plays.
  12. Good to hear. Seems to me the region is a little lite on up and coming pitchers. Am I wrong on that?
  13. Wished I would have seen it. Sat in traffic on Limaburg road for an hour after Bonne Counties finest waived everyone on 18 to go onto Limaburg only to find out that Limaburg was closed a mile up the road. Thanks Porky. Way to communicate with your brethren. Way to go J.
  14. But....they didn't move up to the highest class, did they? Didn't give up those 3A state "cake"walks to compete with the big boys in Lou, did they? Game, set, match.
  15. Just think, without classifications, Highlands might have 2 football state championships! My response to this whole thread is, WGAF?
  16. Congrats Breds. Good luck at all A. LawnBoy have a cold one on me.
  17. Just wish we had two or three more, along with all the other girls in that class. Congrats Biz.
  18. There is more where that came from. Stocking up for tourney time. Get your order in now cause it only goes up come May.
  19. Boone is gonna be a tough out for anyone this year.
