Again, who doubts HHS as a top team? You seem to imply that they have been written off. I don't see where anyone has done that. However, no one considers them a lock, I don't think, unless you do??

I never said eliminating the teams was a travesty. I think the tourney's decisions were arbitrary, not based on any sense, and poorly orchestrated. They changed their minds without any reason and made a decision which only made things worse, not better. Their decision to cut the tourney short due to weather sounds very reasonable, it happens. But their decisions on Saturday couldn't have been more unsound.

The Cru's bats weren't there last night but they played a solid game defensively. Nice to see.

Wow you say? Do tell? Someone in a previous post said this is a 3 team race. They are nuts. This is an 8 team race. Preseason number 1 Highlands has lost to New Cath and St. Henry. Conner got beat by Ryle. Boone has lost to Conner and Dixie beat Notre Dame. Anyone of these teams can win it. So which one will? I know which one will, but I can't name them. (What is this a riddle?) All of these teams have strengths and weaknesses. What happens down the stretch is that teams that play for each other are confident and their weaknesses rise up. Teams that don't fall apart. Teams that have each others back, weather shared adversity and share the glory of success, shine come the bright lights. Teams that finger point and question one another are not confident in each other. The finger pointers lack confidence and the finger pointee feels the pressure. These teams fall apart. Which team will win it? I know which one. I have seen it for 6 years. The team that comes together then next month will win this region. Its that simple. It could be any of the eight, but it will only be one. We will see what these teams are made of.

Watched LHC for a few innings and they looked very solid. Not surprised at the result. Hancock had a squeaker over Model. Weather sucked. Its a great tourney when weather is good.

I have no doubt that there is/are a girl(s) in NKY who can hit 60. I have doubts that there are a number of them. I am not talking about one pitch with a running start in a gym. I am talking about on the rubber with a batter at the plate in a game. JMO.

I'd bet a true 60+ would make most NKY lineups a 2 or 3 girl lineup, the rest would be K city. IMHO, MPH on pitchers pitches is grossly overstated. Could be wrong, but I doubt it. I mean, I once thought I was wrong, but I was wrong.

Yes, its a nice tri level press box. Had a private tour myself. Once the plumbing is attached and a beverage cooler installed along with some stools to watch, it has serious potential.

St. Henry Crusaders take the All "A" region title with a 12-0 victory over Dayton. Good luck at state Cru. I know RCC9 is probably excited that the Cru, being a small school, gets this opportunity to compete in such a tourney! (OK this is a good natured rib-don't need another 8 page thread! on the All A!)
