  1. A few 40-45 point games against the very weak 31st opponents and it could happen…and yes he can do that because they are very bad and he is good.
  2. Corrected 3rd in rebounding in 8th???
  3. What’s crazy is the 8th region will have to guys with crazy numbers in both categories. Grant county Dylan Hammonds is at 1216 career rebounds as of yesterday’s game. According to that list he will likely surpass Dontae Allen Friday on state all time leaders and 2nd behind Carson in rebounds in the 8th. He’s at +2500pt and will prob finish around 2800pts if I had to guess. Both will their teams to win .
  4. Sounds about right. Hammonds 40 &13, Breeden 20&6, Wills 13 and 6 boards for the Braves. Verax with 20 and Davis with 17 to lead the RAIDERS. Ryle will be very solid. Some really good underclassmen.
  5. Actually well called game over all. Grants bigs were fouled almost every time they touched it in the post. Wasn’t many touch fouls called. It had to be an obvious foul. Very similar to how post season games are called. I thought Breeden was fouled several times going to rim and no call. Wills went through fouls to score tonight. Pretty good crew tonight. I Would take that crew over most.
  6. Congrats to Trimble. Bad loss for Anderson after a good win over Collins. Anderson has big game vs Spencer Friday night.
  7. SK Defense is so good because of him (right?)and D wins a lot of games…makes sense to me. Yep I would take Dynes. Just my opinion just like yours. Roberts has been the same sense 8th grade. A really good high school point guard with good talent around him. So yeah Roberts numbers are low As for Green he does not have much around him as OC of past years. Green and Johnson are essentially the same players and lots of potential but can’t seem to get their teams going. This time next year I would put them 1 and 2 in region but not in 2022-2023. Over hyped, over AAU, over social media…I just watch high school 8,9,11th region basketball games for the most part…again my opinion.
  8. I’m taking Moore, Hammonds, Dynes, Green Goodin, Roberts, Johnson in that ordered based on winning games right now in 8th region and by the numbers. Moore, Hammonds and Dynes are double-doubles almost every night. Yep, I know a lot will disagree. Moore and Hammonds two different players but produce same numbers. Moore leads the way with points in region 32 Hammonds 2nd in region 27.5. Hammonds 2nd in state rebounding first in the region 13.5 and Moore 11.5. Both will their teams to win games. In last 3 years Hammonds may have more double-doubles than everyone on that list combined.
  9. Collins’s does that to teams.
  10. Good win…did Connor shot well from 3’s?
  11. Oldham is over rated…LCA is good.
  12. Weakest schedule is Owen County out of top 5 teams. They play their district opponents 13-14 time including all-a and reg season and districts. That’s 13 games against very poor competition that will make any team look good. Yes I realize that have to play them but the other 12-13 games should be against really good competition. N.Luarel/GRC are both good games for them. I also think Anderson county’s non-district schedule is really weak this year.
  13. At LCA+2 is a quality win, Anderson +16, Connor+25 both great win, Cooper+13, South ridge FL+15 pretty good wins. Beat down of Oldham and South Oldham solid wins regional wins. I would not say they play a weak schedule at all. To say just weak or bad teams: Henry, Boone, Beth Haven, and Bryan station thus far. SK played well and congrats to them. Bilton had a great game. Early fouls hurt Grant but didn’t determine the game. Grant didn’t get to shoot bonus til last minute of game due to SK D which was really good.
  14. Tone was set first 3 minutes. Grant shot zero free throws first half. Hammonds and wills beat up inside. Second half all Collins and refs called tons of fouls both ways… collins made prob 13-14 threes…ultimately the 3 ball factor was the difference Congrats to collins way to bounce back.
  15. I like south in this one. Also, looking forward to this match-up. I think South 1-7 players are better than Oldham stop 7. Although you’re right Max green for Oldham may be the difference making.
  16. Man Holmes is struggling. Hope it gets better.
  17. 2 kids ejected? Dixon for WV and Meece for Williamstown. Walton dominate whole game.
  18. Grant county…very tough football job. Athletics are not a priority…terrible facilities, low pay, no support) Big school with a very small population of athletes. Lots of turnover the last 10-12 years (this will be maybe 5th coach? In recent years)
  19. Going with the underdog beechwood in a close one.
  20. I think Walton double-digits especially being at WV. Walton didn’t shoot well in the All-A. Williamstown does not play a tough enough schedule to compete with other 3 teams in 32nd and it will hurt them in the long run.
