While I have no doubt that Trinity is & has proven that they are a national power but they are not the #2 team in the country. Top 50 at best. If they should run the table against that tough schedule then they will have proven worthy of their preseason ranking but I don't see it after losing the players they lost.

I actually agree with this on paper. The talent is there, it all comes down to whether or not X players adapts to the new Coaches schemes. I think this is why Trinity still beats them. As for Bowling Green, I don't they will be able to handle X's massive O-line this year. for that reason I pick X in a close one over BG!!!

Scott Daniel is one of the state of Ky's best players. I remember in the state finals against the Trinity 2011 national champs, Scott returned a kick off about 95 yards for a TD while the game the was still in reach. Trinity went on to dominate the game but Scott Daniel was still able to show he was a play maker against the best team in kentucky's history.

Trinity 2011 was not only the best ever team in the state of Kentucky, it was also one of the best all time teams nationally.I would put them in the Top Ten of all time best ever teams nationally. I've watch a lot of high school football teams over the years & 2011 Rocks ranks up there with the best of them!! 2011 Rocks had no weaknesses. The perfect offense with an all senior O-line that was one of the all time best O-lines ever in this state. Wright,Dawkins & Quick was the best H.S. Trio I ever seen at the skill position. Wright passed for well over 3000 yards, Dawkins rushed nearly 2000 yards 34 TDs & Quick had nearly 1500 yards receiving 22 TDs. Also the Perfect Defense. Ryan White & Adam Reynolds were super in the Secondary, Lbs were solid with Bertram in the middle & the fast Twin brothers on the outside & the D-line was just unreal & nasty led by Adam Berry, Jarbari, & Hatcher!!! Make no mistake the Schedule they faced was one toughest nationally & they Destroyed them. BTW- I got a chance to see the 94 rocks play & all I can tell you is The 2011 Rocks would have Dismantled the 94 rocks by 4 tds or better. Again,that's no disrespect to the 94 rocks but 2011 rocks were just that much better. It's no fluke that they were crowned National Champions in several of the polls.

Boy I tell ya, some of you really under estimate what Trinity & X has returning. I'm sure Highlands will be good this year but they won't be able to handle Trinity. Also while I think Trinity is still the #1 team in Ky,St X is only a hair behind Trinity. St X has just as much Talent as Trinity,if not more. So don't sleep on St X. BTW- from what I'm hearing Bowling Green has a lot returning from a Championship team So this should be a strong year for all the Ky powers!!!

I never said anything about one player being bigger than the program. I merely stated those players mentioned were indeed big difference makers & for the record Trinity over came Wright having an off night, Dawkins playing ill & Quick not playing, Trinity's team still rallied to beat Scott co. So how I;m I selling the other rocks short when stating some obvious reason about why Trinity's Offense wasn't it's nomarl self that night against Scott. again, You guys are the ones trying to make more of the score being closer than expected & trying to look passed the obvious!!!Having said that no team in Kentucky was going to beat Trinity last year because of Trinity's Defense. Remember in the playoffs they only gave up 14 points. That was against Scottco & St x. They held both of them to less than 180 yards total offense. & we certainly know you are not going to beat Trinity by scoreing only 14 points & having less than 200 yard of total offense.

I hate to put it this way because I like & respect Highlands alot but all I know is when they had there chance at Trinity they were detroyed!!! BTW if you don't think it did not make a difference that Quick didn't play & Dawkins was playing with a stomach virus, then you are being a homer!!!those 2 were special players,one a 5* & the other a 4* player. Also When Scott Co & Highlands faced Trinity with a heathly Quick & Dawkins Scott Co & Highlands were detroyed & those are facts!!

Again, Dale is a Great Coach. He & Coach Beatty are hands down the 2 best H.S. football coaches in ky. But no matter how you cut it, Highlands was over matched when they faced the Rocks. Now as far Scott co., While I applause their effort vs Trinity last year they too were outmatched by Trinity. Scotty co only scored 1 offensive TD & the other TD coming from a 60 yard interception returned for a TD. Scotty had serious problems moving the ball on T's defense. Again not taking anything away from them but Scott co benefitted from 3 things. Dawkins playing with a stomach virus puking thru out the game & clearly not 100%, Probably shouldn't have played. 2ndly, Travis Wright having an off night. He over & under threw several wrs. Some of those over thrown passes would have been TD's on most nights. Had nothing to do with Scott co's D Travis just over thru his wrs. & lastly, James Quick out with an injury. Dawkins managed to over come & fight thru being ill, going on to still rush for over 100 yards & Scored the game winning td 50 sec. left on a 67 yard screen & Travis Wright played a fine 4th quarter as he completed some big time passes. The point I'm making is with a sick free Dawkins & Quick on the field, the score would have been lopsided, no disrepect to Scotty co. but everyone knows Trinity had the far better team.

While I agree with you that Dale is a great coach but even if he were Coaching Ryle that night it would have been the same mismatch!!!

The simply solution is for Trinity,St X & Highlands to play each other every year!!!! That way everything is decided on the field!!! I still can't believe it has yet to happen!!! Bowling Green should also play at least two of the 3 as well!!

everyone is looking past that this is a big accomplishment for the state of Kentucky to have 2 teams make this list,considering the fact that people look down on Kentucky football.Yes, I agree Highlands should have made the list but there are many other schools that are shaking their heads as to how they missed this list. Here's some schools that I can think of that probably belong on this list ST Ignatius-Ohio Bolles-Florida Coa Coa- Florida Glenville-Ohio Maryville-Tn Jenks-Okla Alcoa-TN Bishop Gorman-Nevada Servite-Ca John Curtis-LA

I thought Rees Macshara should have gotten it too. Man I love the way that kid played the game. I also thought he was very under rated RB. He had D1 written all over him but he got no love & all the D1 schools passed on this kid!!!

Great Time for Walker but his play on the field speaks for itself. His game film shows he has all the speed & ability needed to be a D1 player more than any 40 time. I'm shocked he hadn't all ready received multiple offers yet. GOOD LUCK TO THE KID!!! He's got my stamp!!

Reggie has performed big time at numerous camps. He has shown he has a big time arm & he is quite an athlete. BTW Reggie also has a 4* rating on scout in addition to him being 3* on rivals

Defensive philosophy & Schemes will be the same. Offensively the Schemes will be the same but Rather than the Offensive mainly going threw 2 players"Quick & Dawkins" they now will spread the ball around considerably more.

Trinity entering the X game winless is not going to happen. T still has some solid players along with superior coaching. Trust me they will find a way to win their fair share of games!!!

Carmel won the 5A state championship 2011. They are one of the state Indiana's Elite programs.

I love this concept. It is what I've be preaching for years,In order to be the best, you have to face the best. Why can't the rest of the State realize this the formula to win state & have a shot at becoming a national power.

Trinity would have beat Ensworth last year. Enworth had a very Dominating run game but Trinity's weakness was it's pass d-fense. In fact Trinity was very Strong against the run. Having said that no H.S. team was just going run the ball at wil onTrinity. With a Healthy Quick & Dawkins Trinity would have out scored Enworth in a close one. This year I think Enworths wins in a close one. All though Enworth loses their star RB,they return most of last years Oline & Ensworth oline was one of the best H.S. olines I've seen. Again, this year I think Trinity will have their hands full stopping Enworths run game regardless of who the RB is.
