Interesesting that #1, #2, #4, #6, #19, #21, #21 (tie), #23 are all Catholic schools. Trinity of Euless, Texas is not a private school.

Surprised Hoover and S. Panola are as low as they are. Also mildly surprised that Highlands wasn't the second Kentucky school.

California is tough, but neither Mission Viejo nor Poly have a state title since 2006 when California went to a state title system. Surprised they made the list. I would drop them and add Miami Northwestern and Lake Travis in Texas.

I could probably name about 10-15 schools that could be on this list (Jenks, Highland Park, Bishop Gorman, Mater Dei, JT Curtis, Independence in Charlotte, etc), so that means it is probably a decent attempt at something like this.

What divisions do most of these schools play in? I know a majority of them are in the top divisions. Only reason I could see highlands not being on the list. Who knows though, frankly it doesn't mean anything.

Sorry, folks.

But a small to medium-sized school in the Bluegrass State isn't gonna make a national top-25 dynasty list calculated by a computer ranking. Frankly, I'm surprised that Trinity is as high as it is.

My point was based on seeing 2 schools from Kentucky on this list. If there are two, then I was mildly surprised Highlands wasn't the second one. In the last 10 years, Highlands record compares very favorably with St. X.

BTW, size didn't prevent the Birds from beating the number 4 team on this list.

Yes it does.

But while X is playing T once or twice a year, and Male and Manual and Bowling Green; Highlands has to play Pendleton County and Harrison County and Holmes. Those games, win or lose, are gonna kill you in a computer-generated power ranking.

St X has also beat the number 4 and number 6 team and plays in the top division.

everyone is looking past that this is a big accomplishment for the state of Kentucky to have 2 teams make this list, considering the fact that people look down on Kentucky football.Yes, I agree Highlands should have made the list but there are many other schools that are shaking their heads as to how they missed this list. Here's some schools that I can think of that probably belong on this list

ST Ignatius-Ohio

Bolles-Florida

Coa Coa- Florida

Glenville-Ohio

Maryville-Tn

Jenks-Okla

Alcoa-TN

Bishop Gorman-Nevada

Servite-Ca

John Curtis-LA

This is more a power rating of some type rather than a dynasty list.

I'm really surprised at Colerain's opponent record.

Exactly what I've been getting at. I think the title "dynasty" is misleading.

Some of those GMC schools haven't faired very well on a consistent basis. Colerain only gets like 3 out of conference games, and two years ago one of those teams was Ryle, and Ryle had a DREADFUL year to go along w/ some of the weaker GMC schools that they played.

St X has also beat the number 4 and number 6 team and plays in the top division.

Very good points on the victories; the division they play in means less to me.

There is no question who the top three football teams in Kentucky are and I think that many objective fans of football in Kentucky would argue that Highlands is no worse than number two. Highlands could have played for a state title in the highest division, they are not in that division so they haven't had the opportunity. An argument could be made that Highlands beats Manual and Male in every year if they played in the last 10 years, as well.

Let me end on this, I am not 100% certain that X isn't better than Highlands in the last 10 years. I still was mildly surprised by the inclusion of two Kentucky teams and that the second team was St. X.
