Trinity's O-line needs some work as they had an off night but Dawkins still found a way to have a nice night by making some tough runs. Had had 24 carries 104 yards & a 37 yard Td on a slip screen to take the led for good. That's a good night for any RB with a new O-line against that type of competition. Was MBA able to slow Dawkins down? yes. but Hold him in Check? No. Travis Wright also found a way to get it done as he was heavily pressured thru out the game. He made some tough throws in clutch situtions.

Dawkins was very effective the whole game when he was on the field. He gain 7 to 10 yards per touch. If didn't have cramps & Have a 40 yard TD called back he would have rushed for 200 yards plus. I think his final numbers were 18 carries for 132yds with 2 scores & Dawkins missed the most of the 3rd quarter, he then returned in the middle of the 4th quart. My point is T could run the ball at will when ever they wanted.

I'm thinking this will be a record year for attendance with Glaser set to retire at the end of the year & Trinity being on the National Level I'm predicting 40,0000

coaches do pay attention to stars Coaches don't have an unlimited amount of time for scouting teams, game planning, having a life, recruiting, and watching a million hs football players. Word of mouth, camps, stars rankings, and a mixture of other thing help them focus on targets.

No I'm not saying change theirs minds. I'm saying all the big schools who were close to offering him before but had Dawkins even with higher rated RB's so they held off,electing to extended offers to the Higher rated RBs. Here's what led to Dawkins Higher rating. His stock his risin because reports are out that he has gone from 170 to 185 lbs & that he has looked awsome in the preseason with a new O-line. So no, not the rating but rather what led to the higher rating. now on the flip side, Landing a 4* recuit is considered a big score for any college, so you betcha it sure as hell brings more attention to the Recuit. So Colleges who were not considering him before will now give him a closer look by now viewing his game film & watching his upcoming games.

Lol!!! you can't just scout tell what ever you please this guys do theirr homework. though I don't agree with most rankings but I must say scout seem to be most acurate after all, they are that ones who have James Quick 5* and 3 ovarall WR. Just look at where Rivals & Espn have him, need I say more

I have been told Scout with out doubt is the best Gauge for Coaches as far as ratings go. The others usally fall in line with Scout at some point.

though I'm not one to go by Ratings. I've always said the best gauge is How that players plays on the field & Competition level & Dawkins game film & Competition level speaks for itself. You will find that most colleges value the players ranking. with that being said Dawkins has elite game film & now has an elite Ranking also. So UL & Uk are flat out num skulls for missing on Dawkins. Landing a 4 star recuit is huge for any big time College. Dawkins is now 5'9 185lb so the size thing just doesn't fly. I know that UC is Leading right now but since his rating is now elite status,some of the big name schools who were close to offering before, will certianly do so now. Good, I'm glad they got him on the field. He is too talented to not be on the field. I remember him from his youth days when play with the I-Raiders

Not so fast my friend. Quick going to UL is not a done deal. In regards to the two trinity players that want to continue to play with each other in college. Let's just say where there is smoke there is fire.

I won't say any names but lets just say 2 of these Trinity guys really want to play together & UC could be the school.

call it what you may but Trinity & Don Bosco were easily the two best teams in the country last season & Trinity has big keys players returning. Yes I also believe they will be one of the best teams in the nation this season. If that makes me Bais then so be it but I think the facts support what I say.

Yes, the Tigers will be much improve but as along Trinity has the H.S. version of the big 3 Wright,Dawkins & Quick along the returns on D-fense, I don't see them beating the Rocks in the 2012 season.

yes, UC would be sweet especially since they are the frontrunner to get his teammate Dawkins.

I applaud LC for stepping up to the plate. I agree that playing this type of competition will help them get better & prepare them for the rest of the season but it will be no fun because they are going to be serverily over matched & this one will probaly get out of hand. Ensworth is the type of team that Trinity,Highlands, or St X should be playing. I hope LC proves me wrong & pulls the upset.

Glad you brought that up because Mr Quick is actually faster on the football field, you see, it's called game speed. Meaning he plays faster than what any stop watched says. I bet if you ask any of the teams trinity faced & they all will tell you Quick has Elite speed that's included lou st x. so you're right, not only is he fast on the track but even faster on the field.

Just like Espn on there fab50 H.S. Team Ranking. Espn doesn't do their home work. they never go to any of the games. It is the same case here on Quicks ranking & to say he doesn't have elite speed is just laughable. Yes he ran 4.7 at camp in Atl but he slipped & stumble for the first 10 yards. If you did your homework you'd know that he has since run 4.4 40ty & 10.6 100m. last but not least watch him blow past every defenders he has faced. C'mon ESPN!!!

Being top 30 is awesome but Mr. Quick should be ranked top 5 in any prospect ranking. He is a complete elite Wr. The kids height isn't an issue he is 6'1. again based off game film & competition level. If you want to look into this view the game film of some of the Wr ranked higher. For competition level just go to Maxpreps. They rank every H.S. in the nation. maxpreps also had listed the 10 toughest schedules. Trinity had the 3rd toughest. Quick had the best numebers of any WR who faced a schedule like that. Dawkins also had the best numbers for a RB who faced a schedule like that. of the Teams who were in the top 10 for toughest schedules there were only 3 WR who had 1000 yards recieveing Quick had almost 1,500 yards & the other 2 WR had right at 1000 yards. For RBs there were 4 who had 1000 yards. Dawkins had almost 2000 yards the next closet to him was 1200 yards. So it not that I'm being bias toward them, those are the facts.

Yes, I have watched the film on Scouts top 60 Wr & I have checked thier competition level out on maxpreps. I have I also checked up scouts top 70 RB's film & let me tell you, Dawkins should ranked much much higher than 48th base off game film & competition level he should be top 15 or better. I'm now checking out the top 70 qb's film.

When it comes to issues like this, players should be gauged by thier game film & competition level & from this Quick is by far one of the top 3 Wr in the nation, easily. Remember game film & competition level doesn't lie!!!
