John Hardin out played BG & also had a very questionable failed 2 points. that looked sucessful. I won't even go into the hook & ladder BG pulled off to win the game. Not trying to stur BG fans up but JH should have won this game. So JH was the best team not to make the playoffs

If you want to think Quick is Trinity's whole team go right ahead but you are foolin yourself. Cause Trinity is still the best team is this State with or with out Quick. On offense Dawkins has proven time & time again that he will get the job done, then there is Swabie, Reggie,Brooks & Qb Wright. Now the Biggest reason the rest of the State will struggle against Trinity is there stout Defense. That front 4 d-line is playing killer football lead by DT Jabari & DE Hatcher. While St X was able to score 14 early points on T but X didn't get another 1st down or point in the 2nd half it was totall dominations by Trinity Defense holding X to 11 2nd half yards & 140 total. Scott county didn't fair much better either. T's defense only gave up 7 points for the entire game & Scott co only muster up 170 yards total for the game. So right now without Quick Trinity O is simply shooting themselves in the foot by not finishing drives. A drop pass here,a over thrown pass there & a penatly here then you get the Offense not finishing drives. My point is Trinity is moving the ball with no problems they are not finishing drives & thier problem is actually more Mentally as opposed to not having Quick.

Quick plays offense so he had nothing to with the birds not being able to score points,that was Trinity's Defense. you also forgot the Birds not only couldn't stop Quick they also couldn't stop Dawkins

That's my point is, if they want to pass the ball as well as run it but hasn't been the case when facing T when they've fallen behind they still rely heavily on the run. If you look back at the last couples games vs T, when the score was 0-0,7-0,7-6 or 14-6 X was willing to open out the playbook with both passes & runs. but when they fall behind thats when you see less passes & more run's thus causing T to pull away. Now back to Cincy X., the tigers won't be able to rely heavily on the run,they will need to be balanced with both runs & passes to be effective on Cincy X d'fense.

X wants to keep the game close so that when 4th quarters comes they are in a position to Ball controll & win the game. that's why they tend to not open the playbook up. I think this style of play actually back fire's & the game still gets out of reach.

not sure what you mean. I am not a Highlands fan or a BG fan. I have great respect for both programs. I just want to see Kentucky's best programs face off annually, Trinity,St X,Highlands,Bowling Green & even Lou central are proving to be kentucky's finest. If this would Happen it would make Kentucky H.S. football better & this would make easy to see who is the #1,2,3,4 & 5 teams overall regardless of class. There's no better way to tell than to have these programs settle it on the field.

That's the part that I don't understand. In others States they make sure these type of games take place. Ohio H.S. for example they play these games anaully. just this past weekend Cincy X played Clevland St Iggy & Moeller played lakewood St EDs. Because of the travel required they simple scheduled these games on Saturday's. Kentucky H.S.'s should simply do the same.

AvidTiger you can be a bit over the top at times but I'll give you credit you did call it last year (Tigers over the Bombers), when I thought Lou X had no shot at beating Cincy X. So I won't count your Tigers out.

Right when BG felt like they could take down the birds the KHSAA reshuffled the classes & Highlands Had to move down to 4a. So we all got cheated out of What would have been Surely a barn burner game, if BG & Highlands had Faced off. Highlands & BG need to schedule a regular season game from here on out, Since they can't meet in the finals. To help KY football this is a game that definely needs to take place annually.

Well Cincy X lost to St. Iggy today. So they are in a must win sitution as they have to win to be in a position to make the playoffs. So this is going be a good one. My perdiction- X wins in a tough one

AvidTiger, We agree on this one. No Doubt with this being Coach G's last regular season game & Cincy X being their biggest Foe, Next To Trinity. this will be a big big Game for both. If Cincy X upset St Iggy today than I can see Lou X getting Cincy X in a close one. But if Cincy X loses today, then they will come out super ready to play as them making the playoffs will be on the line.

I tell you what, Dale Mueller is an elite Coach. I know they didn't win this game but they have shown why they are one of Kentucky's finest programs.

playing cakecups like Franklin co does, he doesn't need to have Talent around him. He just needs blazin speed which he has. And furthermore, his numbers would actaclly be less If he had other outstanding skilled position Teammates because he would have to share the ball & spotlight with the other Talented Teammates. So playing bad teams with more outstanding skilled teammates there wouldn't be enough balls to go around with Blowout Running clocks. example Trinity vs Simon Kenton in the first round of last's years playoffs 72-0 Quick 4 catches 80 yards 2tds Dawkins 3 touches 70 yards 3 td's Wright passed for 250 passed for 4 tds They all sat the 2nd Half

I never Said that he wasn't D1 worthy. In Fact I think he is a Dynomite Player. I can tell from his Game film the he is a Baller. I think you have missed my point. If Timmoms played & perform the way he has against better competition, His offer sheet would be like Quicks. But because has faced such cupcake teams. Colleges have concerns. Their have been many players who on the H.S. level faced cupcakes & were they were clearly just faster than their much slower mates. But when they faced kids with closer speed to theirs, they simple didn't perform the same & got lost in the shuffle. Because Colleges have this concern is why he is a 3* player & doesn't have more offers. I know that that's not Mr Timmons Fault but it is what is. Now as Far Anderson Co. I may have been a little to Harshs but they still are an average Team at best. I always give credit when it's Due, Mr. Timmons is a Fast H.S. player with alot abilty. He's just unproven as to how he would perform against stronger competition. I also think the same of Kentaviuos Hopkin bourbon co rb Kid Here's example & I won't even use Trinity players on this. imagine Romine RB kid at Manaul or Charles Walker at X, played the same schedule as Franklin Co. I bet they both would put up off the chart #s. Romine is a very Talented D1 RB who is commented to WKU & the Talented Walker a jr hasn't been offered yet but I'm sure he will start to recieve D1 offers soon. My point Romine is an outstanding player & he isn't being considered for Mr football & Walker is just jr I don't think most Ky people realize just to how bad the teams are that Franklin co faced. Just take a look at where Maxpreps ranks the Teams along with theirs records of the teams Franklin Co. faced. Nelson co ranks 6,343 (3-5), Western Hills rank 12,523 (1-8), Letcher Co. 9,197 (1-7), frankfort 4,176 (7-1), Scott 5,185 (4-4), west Jessamine 6'574 (2-8), east Jessamine 6,567 (2-6), Woodford co 6,664 (4-5), Anderson co 2,071 (6-2)

LOL I have No clue!!! then what did I say that was not facts? I keep up with high school football nationally I have seen some Great teams, some good teams,some average teams,some below average teams & some horrible teams again, Anderson co is a below average team & all the rest of the teams Franklin co faced were just horrible. I tell you what just ask some D1 college Coaches /recruiters what they think. better yet Maxpreps ranks every team in the nation. so just look at where the teams Franklin co has faced ranks. So I guess none of these other sources have a clue either!!!

no offense but anderson co is a below average Team & if you think they are fast, than you haven't seen what real team speed looks like. Again, Timmons has face one below average to team in anderson co. & all the rest of teams were just horrible. Before I can give my stamp. I'll have to see what he does when he faces Defenders with simuliar speed. That's the same concerns colleges have is his competition level.

That's my point, there is Holding on nearly every play during any game whether it's T, X or whom ever. Let me remind you of what you said ( if you don't want penalties don't hold, simple as that.) So you see, It's not as simple that. Bad calls can change the score's in games, meaining keeping the score closer than it should be but great Teams don't let those bad calls change the out come of the game. So, that's exactly what T did put them away, Inspite of questionable calls.

A Ref a can a hold on any given play, some holds calls warranted, While others holds are very questionable. C'mon man, don't try to act like they're never any bad calls. Bottomline here is Male Defense certainly played hard but they were no match for T.

Male D'fense wasn't impressive, They were aided by some very suspect penalties. On T's 1st drive they marched right down the field when Dawkins broke off a 50 yard TD only to have it called back, Quick also had a 40 yard gain nullified. There were several other calls the stalled T's O. The only thing Male D did well was defending T's bubble screens.
