I dont think they are looking past 11-0 and they definatly want another shot at NCC. HC is playing good and having fun at it. These kids are pushing harder now than at any time so far this year. I think they will end up giving Owen a lot more than thought anyone could give them. HC by a few.

HC's line will hold its own. Look what they did to Carol Co after they dominated them last year. Lol. I dont want to take away from the 11-0 season because that is an accomplishment. But it will br 11-1 after Friday. The schedule they played assisted in the 11-0 and it will show.

I am not a 6a fan. I am the fan of a school in almost the same boat as describe in Lou area. But I realize the districts are set up by geogophy and dont make excusses for being in the same district as NCC. The last few years we would have gone deeper if we didnt have,to play them in the third round but we do. If you want to win a state championship beat trinity, Holy Cross has to beat NCC to get one. It is what it is.

This was done "on accident", He is used to schools with large student bodies and recruiting so try to understand his mistake.

I dont think that many people thought that Newport would win. A lot including me thought thatNewport had the talent to play a good game against them. They do not play as a team well at all and that is what most said they needed to do to have a chance. I didnt see the game, and I bet they didnt play as a team.

I dont think anyone is looking past 11-0 at all. I just think that HC has some things to orove for themselves. These kids were told they got man handled last year against Carol Co. They had a purpose last night and proved it by not just holding Carol to 0 pts but I believe negative yards for the game. They now face an undefeated team that is keeping them from another shot at NCC, I think they will find what they need to get the job done and then some.

I see HC winning next week by at least 2 scores. As mentioned in another post, its big boy football up this way.

HC made it look pretty easy tonight. I think carol co was negative in yards as well as HC looking very impressive on offense. I look for the close to the same next week. Keep olaying lije you have something to prove boys.

I am suprised that Holy Cross is not in the top 5. Convincing win in a partial game against Holmes and we slide a few spots. Dont see how but it is the time of year to walk the talk.

I agree 100%. Problem is they have yet to show that focus. They have the players to get it done.

If they think dominating like last year will help you may hope for them to super doper dominate becuase the regular old dominate didnt work last year and the same effort wont get it done again.

I saw the game last year and if he did I dont know how he can say they dominated the line of scrimmage. I am sure it was said for his teams spirit but those comments will be used against him this year. Holy Cross by about the same as last year.

I sorta feel sorry for the followers for the self crowned teams here. MF and BW that is. And there are others. The majority of you walked into a winning org. You have the facilities, financal support and fan support. What else can you get out of this sport. Sitting around and waitingfor the few games a year that will be competative seems to leave you with nothing to do but complain and try to point out other teams flaws. Doesnt seem enjoyable to me.

I would say they are part of the problem. This in no way was the first game they had with personal fouls. The coaching staff has been dealing with this all year and they can control the players. If the players uses the energy to play instead of was the energy for the dirty play they might have won a few more games. The staff needs to teach them that. I am sure they tried but trying does not make you a coach.

Previous post were very correct, it was a good thing this was called early. Holmes was throwing cheap shots very early and everyone knew it was going to be bad but it ended up pitiful. The coaching staff should be blamed.

Holmes is 4a, are you sure that would be an upset? I that thier scrappy pkay will cause some problems but I see Holy Cross with the win.

Thats what I thought . It seemed very obvious the whole game but never seemed that it was noticed by refs. I guess they are looking at other things.

I agree on the 100 a game. I was not asking, and maybe it wasnt clear, about your everyday contact. It appeared that the lineman was spearheading into the o linemans helmet.

So in this case intentional helmet to helmet is ok? I have never seen an o line initiate helmet to helmet contact prior to putting hands on for a block. Have you?

I notice a defensive lineman on pass rush leading with his head. Several times it was very noticable that he made helmet to helmet contact. Is this legal?
