What does GC's batting order usually look like ? Like the " normal" starting 8 ?

LOL ! I read this same exact thing on an southern ohio sports website . It didnt make sense and it doesnt know . Need to fill in some blanks for this one to make sense .

I've got a handful of Questions -- Has east carter lost ? If so to who ? How did Ashland get voted up ahead of them? Also I live close to Wheelersburg Oh , they are playing next weekend against East Jess and Scott Co . How many D1 players does each of those squads have ? WBurg will be ranked 1 or 2 in the state when D3 rankings come out for Ohio in 2-3 weeks , went to the final four last year before losing to Taryn Alvelo ( Washington huskie ace ) Burg has 3 D1 player in SS-C Michael Cunningham- LSU , Morehead St signee is the 2b , and their pitcher is unsigned but has small d1 offers . Plus several other Naia -D2-3 players . The games are played in Ashland .

I appreciate ya , I really do . But its OK to admit you are wrong . Thru the wickets is error .. every time . And your seemingly endless defense of your decision is just making it worse .

Last year Chad had 16's ?

I see that the girls tourney not only gets a Sat night doubleheader and a Sunday final while the boys side does a Monday / Tues or Wed final ? That's just dumb .

Bad scheduling for the 16th . Really bad for the economics an attendance to the tourney . Having the boys semis and the finals on a weeknight . No way I'd move the boys semis to a Monday and give the girls a Sat night. And I'm leaving Sunday for a vaca and going to miss the bigger games ;(

For 15 or so years from 1981 to the mid to late 90's GC was a regional powerhouse . A trip to Morehead was not only expected but a semi final or final was expected every year. Those years . Those years right there are known as the Randy Ward era . Like him, hate him , doesnt matter . He won. Now it hurts to see families who grew up wearing the Green , Black and Gold send their kids to Russell , Raceland , Lewis co, Portsmouth Clay , Portsmouth Notre Dame etc etc . But I dont blame them at all. After being a GC guy for decades I still dont understand exactly who pulls the strings in Athletics up there . Its like whoever it is is like Lord Voltemort " he whose name cant' be spoken . Maybe its because his/her decisions have sucked swamp water and they dont want to own it . The current situation is not so good , the assistant coach in hoops cant be the leader . I dont have the answer , they bring in out of the area folks and they fail, they have stayed local and they failed . The baseball team has this culture of winning , the football team and hops team just dont have it . It will take a STRONG leader to right those ships .

LC has been a total roller coaster this year . Where was the first game played between these 2 ?

Dang GC 2nd in the 16th ? I guess there about 8 teams who are not much different from each other at all. Lewis has beat both GC and RC and LC isnt exactly having a stellar season.

Have to give a shout out to Ashland's Megan Hensley as well at U L . Started 2-0 in the circle I believe and went 4-4 with 2 dub's and a dinger just in the first game . Hot start for sure .

Being a small college coach I must say I LOVE .. LOVE .. LOVE hearing about these athletes who turn down a power 5 conference team to play at a Midway , Thomas Moore , Rio Grande , Shawnee St etc etc . 99 % of the time its because the athlete settles into exactly where their talent level leads them . NKU level players don't get overlooked by UC , X , or Vandy etc etc .. those schools simply pass on them . Occasionally they get it wrong , but Larry was recruited by top 10 IU , he didn't attend a low level mid major out of HS . And better than Rex ? Hmmm , Could this kid drop 25 plus at UL as a freshman ? I'm not buying what you are selling OP .

I'll say that GC appears much much better coached this season than the previous 3 . Why that is , I'll leave for people to figure out . There shouldn't be much disagreement about GC not playing up to their talent level ( at least 2 seasons) the past 3-4 years , and I'm being polite . And I don't need any history lesson about GC or their dominance in the 80's or mid 90's . I played there in that period . Hopefullty the corner is being rounded and GC gets back to being a cohesive consistent winner . I wouldn't dog X and O for being overly negative , there just hasn't been much to positive about the past few years .

I'd say they are all competitive within the 16th , but pretty dang weak in most others . Very down.
