The 9th region reminds me of the old conference I coached in , in Ohio . Its like " Days of our Lives" with softball Dads .

Yeah I think EC is actually going to struggle in Owensboro. Just played too light a schedule to get prepared for good teams . I'm going to be kind and say the 16th was average for eastern Ky this year , not near as good the previous 6 years where Ashland had a stud thrower and while East was obviously dominant with their pitching I doubt that Fouts can keep throwing shut out after shut out against the likes of East Jess and MNH . Those teams are light years ahead the Russell's Boyd's and Rowans in both O and D . But the future is bright as can be for the Raiders , young team that needs to play 8-10 games a year against teams that won't strike out 15 times a game .

Spring Valley is usually strong , what was the score of that one if you know ?

They obviously dominated the 16th region , in historic fashion , who all did they play outside the 16th ? WV has some good HS softball , did they play any over that way ?

She def will go down as one of the best , if not the best . She's that good . But its a team sport , we will see where the team stands soon enough .

Sorry Heavy Duty . I'm sure it was shocking for the entire community . I coach in the Mid south and we have already contacted 1 of their players to see if we might offer her a place to continue her career . Just a sad day really . Hate to hear this .

The ADI had a rather interesting quote from GC pitcher Lambert , in trouble in the 6th inning Lambert said " He just grabbed ahold of my nuts and went on with it " I guess I'm old fashioned but such a quote as that should have been skipped over . Aaron synder was the writer on the coverage .
