Greenup 3 Rowan 2. Cam Planck carried the team on his back with a great pitching performance and hitting a home run. Rowan's team made at least 4 errors. Greenup got a runner to third in the bottom of the 6th inning and he scores on a groundout to first to make it 3-2

Has Planck signed anywhere? Did Greenup throw their #1?

Can Planck committed earlier in the season to the Universty of Louisville. And I am not sure if Greenup threw their 1.

I heard when Planck hit the hr in the 6th, he broke up a no hitter?

I dont think there were any hits period thru 5, quite a few errors

Cam Planck will probably be drafted in the first 10 rounds.

Greenup Co didn't throw their #1, they threw Sophmore Ryan Lambert. He also pitched in the game played at Rowan Co that Greenup won 12-0. Ryan threw a 1 hit shut out that night.

Kyle Gammon lead off the bottom of the 1st inning for Greenup Co with a single to left field

Jarred Hunt hit a sac fly in the 4th to give GC a 1-0 lead. Planck broke up the no no on his solo HR in the 6th to tie it at 1-1. Rowan took the 2-1 lead on a bases loaded awkward comebacker to the mound that tipped off the end of Lamberts glove. Not sure if that was hit or error, I'd assume a hit. Greenup tied it up on an RBI ground out by Jarred Hunt and scored the would be winning run when a wild pitch / passed ball squirted away from the Rowan catcher, he scooped it up and threw to 3B but the ball sailed into the outfield allowing the runner to score. I saw a box score after the game, not sure where it came from or how accurate it was but Planck 3 runs, 3 hits, 8 k's, 0BB. Lambert 2 runs, 4 hits, 4k's, 3 BB.

The ADI had a rather interesting quote from GC pitcher Lambert , in trouble in the 6th inning Lambert said " He just grabbed ahold of my nuts and went on with it "

 

I guess I'm old fashioned but such a quote as that should have been skipped over . Aaron synder was the writer on the coverage .

Also thought it was funny Coach Prater from Rowan saying " we beat them " and " we outplayed them "
