Greenup @ Russell should be a good one once again this year.

Mike Diller is indeed the new head coach at Lewis Co. Kelsey Diller (Another former Raceland Assistant) will join his staff and work with pitchers.

July 25th at Morehead City Park (Home of Rowan Co. Vikings) the 2nd Annual 16th Region Baseball All Star Game will take place. Start time is 7 pm. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults. Justin Graham will be throwing out the first pitch.

Tournament time or not I didn't understand why Greenup changed their gameplan. They've played fast basketball all season and then last night tried to slow it down and it almost cost them. Raceland played super hard and had a few kids get hot down the stretch.

Any word on the resignation of coach kelly at Lewis Co? 1st game is in a little over a month. Any replacements pop into anyones head?

I agree that there are many good coaches in the 16th Region but I believe the combination of Greg & Steve Logan at Greenup is at the top of this list. Since they have took over that program has took a huge up swing and been very consistent even in the years they have a "dip" in talent.

What's word coming out of camp on Greenup?

haha anytime. Personally, yes i agree that Hughes is one of the best in state. He has power from both sides of the plate as he has Hr's from both sides. He is a true switch hitter as he hits lefty vs righties and vice versa. Slick fielder as well. Bright future ahead. I also believe that GC has the best up the middle combination in the state. Combination of Shoupe, Hughes, Gammon, & Hunt is something every high school baseball fan needs to see. That being said I'm not taking anything away from the corner infield and outfield as they are impressive as well. Tomorrow should be a good game, I'm hoping the musketeers can continue the story though.

Hughes is a Sophomore and commited to Cincinnati. He also is a switch hitter not just a left handed hitter.
