Your trying to compare the scores on a team where the one's for Ryle didn't play in the second half. It looks like to me Bell needs to schedule some regular season competition before they are ranked in the state's top five.

14 point win over Knox Central and you think Bell is better than Highlands and Ryle? Have you also seen some of the teams that have given Boyle a game? Your claim doesn't make sense.

I am not going to knock the kid you are refering to because he is an excellent high school QB. However, you may need to educate yourself on some things required to recieve a D1 scholarship offer at the QB position.

Most teams don't make money once you split a normally weak gate and often pay for a distanced travel expense.

BTW, I don't see where any of these post suggested that this was the reason Ryle lost the first game.

It is, and one that the KHSAA should adopt for our state. If you dont live in KY, you shouldn't be competing in KY athletics.

They should have a heck of a tough schedule then next year. I hear they still have four games to fill and a very tough time finding opponents.:thumb:

They fell short of their goals last year. They didn't whine about it and make excuses. Instead, they have done what it takes to make those goals achievable. One game at a time for the Raiders. The only thing that they can be thankful for is that they don't have people publicly embarrassing them on a regular basis.

There is a marked difference in having trouble competing with a Cincy power vs. a Kentucky school. I am sure you will not see them play when T is supposed to have by far the upper hand, and to be honest, I really don't blame them for that decision.

I don't know if they have told Trinity no or not, but I do know they have several games to fill. Therefore if Trinity asked them to play, they should have had a date open. The way I see it, Trinity will be loaded next year, so there is no advantage for Highlands to play them. I am sure some of the decision makers at Highlans see it the same way. If you truly believe Highlands has never refused a game with anyone, you are sadly mistaken.

Players in Union don't need to live in fantasy land. They work and make their goals reality. They don't talk about what is going to happen and how they beat themselves after a loss.

Reality check time. Those games were won with Henry Clay's two best players on suspention.

Did they all say no, or was their schedule conflict? I am sure Highlands, Bowling Green, and SK said no. However, I would think Colerain and St. X would play if they were open.

As was already stated earlier in this thread, maybe it is time for people from Dayton to take a step back and look at their school and their program. Should athletes be held accountable, or should athletes be allowed to attend practice when they choose and have their parents back up their actions? Should parents be supporting the coaches and athletic director's decisions and discipline, or should they complain when they lose and complain even louder when their child is held accountable. I have seen the actions of parents in the stands at Dayton games in recent years, and a lot more needs to be fixed than coaching and the AD. There are a couple of post in this forum that display the problem with the community mindset first hand. I suppose that an AD and head coach from Ft. Thomas know nothing about what it takes to win. They must come in a distant second to parents in the Dayton community concerning knowledge of how an athletic program should be ran.
