Assuming you mean next Thursday! In the old days, the only teams practicing on Thanksgiving were playing for a state championship. Those were the days!

It is a badge of honor! They should absolutely practice and enjoy it. Since most parents/families should be off work they should go and watch. There are approximately 225 other teams that would love to be practicing that day don't have too!

I'm surprised that no one has posted about thanksgiving practice. This is Holy Cross Covington's first Thanksgiving practice. Anyone else?

Holy Cross' freshman team was horrible this year. Not many bullets can be pulled from there to reload.

The only population pool that matters is # of boys in the high school. Fort Thomas is landlocked, as the population ages many elderly stay in their homes until they die not allowing a new family with children to occupy that home. In the county their is plenty of land to build on.

Mayfield always seemed to take a dive in the playoffs when Beechwood has the team to beat them! :idunno: Doesn't make sense considering your mascot. Maybe it should be "The Birdcage"! ::sssh: Knew there was a reason I didn't like Mayfield! I think all breeze is coming from all the flapping of gums by a few Mayfield supporters on BGPs! :lol:

What people don't understand it is more than just athletics. Its community, academics, athletics and other extra curriculars. It would take more than just a few years to put that in place. You can lose it faster than you can develop it.

I don't think anyone has ever said 2 seeds shouldn't make the playoffs. The 6A northern KY this year was a little different this year and there was parity with no team undefeated in district. I think you would need to look at the scores for all the #4 vs #1 seeds to make a true assessment.

Frankfort scored at end of first have by fumbling into end zone.
