  1. Pick one- timing route over, middle to Walker. 5 step drop....He went three and got anxious and underthrew it. Did not see linebacker...did same thing last Saturday at intersquad scrimmage. Need to work on that Pick two- on 8 yd line first and goal threw to wrong side of WR doing a corner fade. X could easily have run it in from there. Called play, bad throw.....that's what scrimmages are for Nagle made some other really nice throws. I give him a B and he can play better. Threw a beautiful long ball to Roshkowski that went about 40 in he air and put it right where it needed to be . He looked good under center and other than vanilla play calling, offense looks really good X put about 12 plays in last night
  2. No much to Talk about if you are X fan...Lets see. Walker 4 carries. 1 reception 1 tackle. Davis 5-6 carries- broke away for some long gainers looking good coming off broken foot, and wont o down percell a manchild 7-8 carries and could name his scores in second quarter. Surprise of the night was Cedric miller with 10 or so. Caries. Pass plays still in the closet. The INT to end the half was an experiment and poorly thrown. Not sure anyone saw what X can do yet. SK's QB was talented. They are a good team and will win some games.
  3. Aint gonna happin--------cap'in................
  4. I heard Scott lost quite a few Seniors from last years team. Hearsay only, but I am going with the Jackets. Tough with lots of team spedd both sides of ball.
  5. I am expecting August 23rd on Poplar Level Road to be a good one. Coach J has a nice squad that will be around in November
  6. I love him at Bandit !! What a weapon. I think by and large X linebackers will be very tough. McCormick in the middle played plenty last year-I personally thought he was right there with Clyburn talent wise. Nobody is counting him as a "returning starter" but in all-in-all he was and is returning as a starter. Caffee is tougher than nails and Parker and Foy both go 6'2" to 6'3" -200#'s or so and run like deer. Going to be very hard to run against X
  7. Walker is the only one slated to go both right now. They have had him a Strong Safety and more recently playing in a Bandit/ Monster roll closer to the line of scrimmage. He was a freaky good middle linebacker during grade school and has a knack for getting his nose on the ball. Can read offenses and hard to beat to the ball. I doubt you will see him much early on except in Nickel on Third Downs. Have to see where it goes from there.
  8. The table is certainly more even. I would think Scott County, Maybe a Lexington team. The one that you have to really think is a sleeper is McCracken County. But, I am staying with my original deal. St. X is the team to beat. Will be interesting to see how the T-Rocks fare before they play St. X. I think that they will be hard to stop offensively, but have to question the youth on the defensive side of the ball and 10 of 11 starters from last year missing. Not to mention, the 10 of 11 were absolute BEASTS IMO and that will be hard to replace no matter how you re-load
  9. That's good stuff. Please give us the time when you know what it will be. I also heard that UK really likes Walker as a Slot Receiver as well. Evidently he performed well for them at this position at a couple of camps. Slot is intriguing if you ask me.
  10. According I more than one source he was also a BIG DISTRACTION and will not be missed by many. He had more than his share of opportunities. As noted above, he may not have been in the starting rotation
  11. Avid. I think the toughest games might be (in order) BG,Moeller, Cincy X and then Trinity, followed closely by Central But, I think the Tigers can run the table I have concerns about the Defense, with a new scheme and several new faces. Please tell me about that side of the ball...I have heard they will be quick and athletic. Offensively, I do not see how teams will stop us from scoring lots of points. Too may weapons and now a play book !!
  12. Good point. But I think you meant when and both times .............
  13. I would think a long shot due to first year in 6A. Not taking away from his athleticism
  14. Yes. He is fairly nimble with great feet. Big and physical and throws a nice ball. Obviously knows the game, effective under center or out of he gun Browning still does QB lessons and moved here before settling on a school. Without a doubt it was between trinity and st x, and I am sure playing behind bonnafon had something to do with his final decision son BJ is very happy The best thing about the new offense is that it will be NOTHING like he previous regime. Multiple sets out if similar formations and the kids are working very, very hard to get it down
  15. This is St Xavier's turn. Sorry
  16. With the white hats and the gold pants ! Gonna look awesome.
  17. Nice article and a great young man. Things have finally worked out for him. He has the work ethic and potential to be a steal for Arkansas !
  18. I expect Walker to have a very, very big year. Bonnafon for sure should be in the hunt, and much will depend upon which team (Trinity or St. X) gets to the 6A finals. I would go with Barker as well. It is his to lose, and I am assuming he has someone to throw to.
  19. Congrats. Ballard loaded with athletes this year. I for one expect the opener to be a very, very good football game
  20. Sweet News ! That tells me fully healed and ready to ROAR.....
  21. Barker here. Big kid from Graves county here. Walker from X here That's all I see
