Karl Roesler (St. Xavier) will play at Arkansas

Featured Replies

Class of 2013 Defensive End Karl Roesler from St. Xavier announced yesterday that he will be playing at Arkansas. It isn't finalized if this will stay at a walk on spot, but for the time being he is a preferred walk on. He had offers from Tiffin University, Toledo and Miami (OH), but chose to be a Razorback after dragging the recruiting process out for some time.

Here's his highlights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_1xGPmhXYw

Good looking film. He looks to have the size to play SEC D Line. What about his speed? Will he stay at D-End, or move to interior line? Either way, Good luck, and congrats to the young man

He runs a 4.75-4.8 range 40. He turns 17 in July  which is just rediculous, so he has a lot of growing left to do. He will redshirt this upcoming season so then he will be with the grade he is supposed to be in. I would say a rover, hybrid linebacker would be the ideal position for him. Definently a great player for special teams. I don't know how many remember, but he blocked numerous field goals in his career at X. I think even both of the extra points by trinity in the playoffs last season (may have only gotten one of them).

He is a very good player. Is Buehner still at Arkansas or has he graduated?

With him being only 16 years old now, i'd say he's got some growing to do, which in turn means, he'll be able to get that speed down. For him to play a LB type position, he'll need to get that speed down in the 4.5 to 4.6 range. He'll prob stay put at D-End, possibly a stand up D-End. He's got a great foundation to work with a 6'3'' frame

Congrats and good luck to him

It would be nice if Karl would have "redshirted" back in kindergarten, that way he would still be a Tiger!

I'm surprised he wasn't held out of school another year. He had to be the youngest guy in his graduating class.

Karl Had three sacks and blocked two game winning field goal attempts to preserve the win for the Louisville Metro All Stars in the Best of the Bluegrass Game in December. He also Recorded a sack, a blocked extra point, and caused and recovereda fumble in the Border Bowl against Tennessee this year.

Congrats and good luck to him.

That will be huge for Karl. Having an upperclassmen from the same high school to show him the ropes and get familiarized with Fayetteville and such since Roelser is so young.
