  1. You are entitled to your opinion. We will agree to disagree. I am not going to get into discussing specific players and what roles they would play and if they are better than the currest cast. You, obviously, are a lot closer to this program at this time than I am. So, good luck.
  2. Not sure how I forgot about Donovan, but yeah....I did. What an athlete he is (that use to play hoops at a high level)!
  3. Who said anything about begging? You have to play a fun style of ball. Make them want to come to practice and open gyms, relate to the kids and put the kids in a position to succeed. The point is there are kids roaming the halls that could help the team. For whatever reason they decided they did not want to play. Question is why? All of them played AAU ball. All of them are, obviously, are very gifted athletes and had some success, in the past, playing hoops. AND from what I witnessed, enjoyed playing the game. Just my two cents, not placing blame on anyone. Just an opinion based on observations over the course of a few years....
  4. I could see Christian, Collinsworth, Hope, Hoge, Urlage and Jake Whitford all, potentially, having an impact for this years team. That is just off the top of my head and based on watching this team play this season. Just an opinion.

  6. Looking at the previous posts/box scores, along with this one, sounds like Drew needs some help. What is going on in the post? When does Turner return (he would definitely help)? How was the pg play tonight? Who is up next for the Birds?
  7. Not sure what is up with Mitch Whitford and Rich Dee, OL, for HHS. One is first team, the other is second team. Both should be first team in my opinion, however, it is Mitch Dee and Rich Whitford. Seems they crossed the names...
  8. Congrats to all that made the team(s). Tri-State Football - Articles
  9. Who is running the point? Karl? Or, did they move Houliston or Witte?
  10. In fact I saw he and several other Birds in the weight room at the local YMCA today working out. They are already at it.
  11. Seth is a legit 6'3.5". He is actually up to 228 lbs. (as measured at Cincinnati Children's) right now. Seth knows about the camps. Schools invite the players to their camps. Seth was invited to a dozen or so last summer. He would have attended several this past off season, but he was recovering from a groin injury. He keeps in touch with the coach's though. He really just started getting completely healthy at the end of this season. One of the reasons you saw his production increase. There is plenty of interest in Seth. Has already taken several visits to D-1 programs. Seth put on almost 20 lbs and grew 1.5 inches from sophomore season to now. He is not playing basketball this season. He plans to continue to train with the team as well as a former NFL'er whom he trained with in the off-season last year prior to his injury.
  12. Bracket said 7:30 yesterday. KHSAA updated the time late last night. Game time is 7:00.
  13. Wow! Was not expecting this! Congrats to NDA on a great season and to Tates Creek on the win.
  14. Fact? I said I had never heard of this "Classic". I did not say anything negative about RHS. Ryle participates right? Do they not need to find someone that can generate a larger gate? So they can fund the scholarship? Don't believe I directed anything toward you or your Camels. Looking forward to that game next year though.
  15. Get over it dude. Wasn't taking a shot a Ryle.
  16. Dude, you obviously have something invested in this fund. Let it go. Nobody at HHS knew anything about it. If HHS had intended to participate, people would have known. There were no signs, no advertisement, no bucket, pass's were accepted. HHS has turned down numerous opportunities to play in games like this. I actually would expect HHS to decline to participate in this event. There was a misunderstanding. HHS never intended to particpate. Your fund fell a little short. In the future, I would make sure I had an agreement (written and signed) in place.
  17. Shouldn't there be a particpation agreement for this Tom Carter Classic series? Seems to me that there would be some form of agreement for participation in this "Tom Potter Classic" as well. If not, shame on the organizers. Bet nothing was signed for that either. Honestly, I have never even heard of this "classic". At the HHS v Trinity game, there was no signage, no "bucket" and pass's were accepted. Seems to me that there was a huge misunderstanding and this funds cash cow decided not to particpate. Now we have sour grapes. At this point what is done is done. HHS needs to find another opponent for next year and RHS needs to find someone that can generate a large amount of cash for a scholarship fund. Pretty simple.
  18. Not this year they haven't. The first team D, excluding the Ryle game, has primarily played a 2 man D line this year. They went back to a 3 man line against Ryle.
  19. Agreed. Nice to see a complete game. Great high school football tonight.
  20. Absolutely. Big props to the D.
  21. Actually it was 7 points on a pass play in the first half. The other 7 in the first half was a kickoff return.
  22. I wouldn't be so worried about the defense either. While they may not be as deep as they were last season, a lot of kids are getting reps right now. Getting the experience they need for the stretch run. If you look at what the first team D has given up to date, I believe it is 2-3 scores max through the first three games, the sky is not falling. Some kids are banged up right now, hopefully that resolves itself very soon. The first team D is very good. A lot of kids are being worked in and getting better with every rep. Special teams needs some work, but I believe that will be resolved as well.
  23. Agreed. I mean, seriously, can't we fix that?
