I'm a big Coach Hart fan, but he may need to reel his boys back in after a loss like this.

Boyle should not go to 5A, that is a easy out for them to go to 5A. If that is the case Highlands should stay in 5A, Boyle just don't want to run with the big dogs.

Overall 4A has the best teams, Bell, Boyle, Lex. Cath. Putting Highlands in there with these guys makes for some really good games late in the playoffs. I think this only makes football stronger in central Kentucky. Its finally time Bell Co. and Boyle get some work before they play each other. Some of the best games I ever witnessed were Bell Co. and Highlands playing each other. I would love to see this again.

This used to always be one of the feature games to see in the state. Those days are long gone! I predict a few changes to be made in Mt. Vernon at the end of the year. Bell Co. 48 Rockcastle Co. 10

Rockcastle got handled in this one. I was at this game and really felt Pulaski whipped the Rockets up front on both sides of the ball. Rockcastle will still beat McCreary and Madison Southern, but thats not really saying much. I thought at times Rockcastle played very uninspired and was beat early.

What do you all think. I never thought I'd say this but this game is huge for Southern. If they do not win this one look for changes to be made very soon.

Rockcastle has lost their way in my opinion. I have seen Rockcastle play twice this year and it seems that the heart and passion this team used to play with is gone. Most of those kids still play hard, but I watched kids walk on the field, not wrap up, and not stay with their blocking assignments. I can't believe this is taking place at Rockcastle. Their field to me is one of the coolest places to watch a highschool football game and the energy just seems down. I think also the main thing that Rockcastle has lost is that intimidation factor they used to bring into a game. I wish Rockcastle and Coach Parkey all the luck, but the post-Larkey era sure is an unusual thing to see.

LOL...All I'm saying is there is no true big play guy for McCreary. I have watched McCreary play at least ten times in the last 3 years, and you all always had a chance to take one to the house on any given play, now you all have to sustain drives and work harder to get scores. That is no disgrace at all, you just have to play a totally different style of game to win now. I was meaning no disrespect in my posts, just that good teams have to adapt from year to year. Those that cannot do this struggle.

As a friend to the Ashland program I would buy Ashland. The Tomcats are always well coached and usually play tough. I think the biggest with the Tomcats is they tend to not always believe in themselves. I really feel this team is better than Dixie and Covington Catholic, but anybody beating Highlands in 5A is something that is a tough thing to do.

I'll have to agree, Watts and Roark made McCreary what they were the last few years. Now I know it takes a team, but no Watts, no Roark equals no win! The McCreary vs. Madison Southern looks like another battle except this time there are true stars on either side.

Well, I'm gonna have to take Leslie in this one. McCreary has come off a nice three year run and is back to where they were several years ago. I would love to see these guys win, but I'm afraid it won't happen. Leslie 27 McCreary 12

Pulaski has to much for a Rockcastle team that struggled against a weak Lincoln Co. team. Pulaski 35 Rockcastle 14

I would have to say Knox Central, I really don't know what they have but I know the style they play which is hard smash mouth football. Knox 32 Middlesboro 21

Wow, bad loss for Jackson.

I would love to see Madison Southern in this district. Playing Bell Co., Knox Central, Rockcastle is a beast, I think this district would level the playing field out and make that a pretty wide open district with Pulaski or Montgomery being the favorites. Good work gchs!

Southern's girls will struggle mightily. There was a great deal of controversy over this job in the spring and many feel they right person did not get the job. Summer Simmons got the job and she wont even be able to coach untill middle of the year because she just had a baby I've been told.

Winning is difficult, but 4 years is a little long. If you can't get your community behind you and your school officials behind you after a year then 4 years is to long. I'm not saying this is what is taking place in Jackson Co., but it seems like football is losing focus.

Lincoln Co. really should have lost to Madison Southern IMO. Lincoln built a big lead but did not make any adjustments at halftime, and almost handed that game to them. I also hope Rockcastle looks at the last minute of that Southern game. Lincoln was up 10 with 12 seconds to go and they were throwing corner routes trying to score. I guess if you can score go ahead, but stuff like this will haunt you as a season goes on. Rockcastle 42 Lincoln Co. 8

I've heard some chatter about this. Jackson Co. was headed in the right direction when they first started their program, but it seems the opportunity to build on what Todd Harris started never really got going. I've heard Jackson Co. will let this season play out and then look at their options at the end of the season.
