I have heard that Carter could be on the hot seat. Can anyone enlighten us on the situation?

I've heard some chatter about this. Jackson Co. was headed in the right direction when they first started their program, but it seems the opportunity to build on what Todd Harris started never really got going. I've heard Jackson Co. will let this season play out and then look at their options at the end of the season.

Winning is difficult...even more difficult in a place like Jackson Co. If you REALLY want to win, you've got to give a guy at least 4 years to get things going. Typical small county ball, wanting to jump ship after two years...good luck with that.

Winning is difficult, but 4 years is a little long. If you can't get your community behind you and your school officials behind you after a year then 4 years is to long. I'm not saying this is what is taking place in Jackson Co., but it seems like football is losing focus.

3-4 years is plenty...2 is too quick.

2 years is not enough time.

Agreed.

Three with the option of 4. It isn't about winning immediately, but it is about building the program from top to bottom. I have heard they have a little league program and a decent middle school program, but the main thing is to get quality coaches in the building at the high school and the the community need to welcome anyone that is hired to coach to come in and work with their children and doing it the right way. I heard that the high school has only 3 coaches, is this true? You can't be successful with just a couple of coaches and missing certain coaching points because there is not enough, you need to get quality coaches, not just good people who never have played a down.
