Dominate win for Pulaski. Game was about what I thought it would be.

Looks like Rockcastle has lost its swagger. I hate to see that. Nice win Pulaski Co.

Rockcastle got handled in this one. I was at this game and really felt Pulaski whipped the Rockets up front on both sides of the ball. Rockcastle will still beat McCreary and Madison Southern, but thats not really saying much. I thought at times Rockcastle played very uninspired and was beat early.

Seems Rock has steadily declined since Larkey left.

Rock football has gone down for a couple of reasons 1. Our school administration changed about 5-6 years ago and very little emphasis is placed on the football program. 2. Coach Larkey was 5-5 his last season here and probably saw the writing on the wall. 3. For years Knox was a automatic win giving us 2 home playoff games every year , no longer true . Our fan support suffered when we left a district with Corbin, Somerset and Middlesboro who were close rival games for a district with Perry Central, Knott Central and Knox Central who were all easy wins at the time but brought out less fans . Winning is great but if your games are 2 hour drives to teams with a small fan base it will eventually affect your support. I doubt Rock will be able to come back in a 6 class system .

Hate to admit it but as a Rock fan Rednack is probably on target.

I know they are not in the district anymore, but scheduling those teams (Corbin, Somerset and Middlesboro) along with Pulaski every year would keep those rivalries intact. Should be able to get bid crowds for those games each year. Rock brought a lot of fans over for the Pulaski game. Even with district re-alignment, Rock should be pretty good in the next few years.
