Not well!! I was at Stampers barber in Ironton friday getting a haircut and catching up on all the news!!!:lol::thumb: All the fans/coaches say Ironton has a running back that is a sure div. 1A back. The best they have seen come out of the area in years. And the defense is awesome! Best team Ironton has had in a few years. I bet Ashland agrees!!! I wouldn't doubt if Ironton plays Coal Grove it will look like the Ironton vs Ashland game. Hey, the info we get from our barbers is better info we get from the KY AP sports writers!!!:ylsuper::lol:

I think Mayfield could win any of the first three classes. 5A Highlands and Bowling Green and 4A Bell Co, Boyle Co. ect. That would be a BIG streach. Basically end of story!!

I was wrong on Mike L. #34 scoring two td's. He scored one it looks like. But he ran so well it looked like he could have scored three or four!! Great running #34.

Why is it that every year we travel to Nicholas Co HS the weather conditions are: RAIN, SLOOPY FIELD ect. It happens so often it seems like it's part of the NC defense!! It's like their 12 man!!:idunno:

:ylsuper:^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^:ylsuper: Guys I've said it lots of times this season. Mayfield IMO is the best team in 1A. But lets not get carried away here! A lot of season left. I think there is even three or four playoff games to play!! This team is giving up over 52 points per game. So I'm sure most were subbing early just like Mayfield. So for a really good team to score 23 more points on a team of 13 is not all that impressive. Fairview is in the top 10. They are 6-0. Played Paris last night. Score at the half, 49-0. Game ended the same. I'm sure they could of rang up 100 on them just like you could have FCHS. Paris dressed 15 players. Both Paris and Fulton Co are at the bottom of class 1A. Does Fairview deserve to be #1or 2 in the state. NO! In six games the total wins of all the teams they have played is I believe is four. Not a very tough schedule. On the other hand should Beechwood be punished for playing such a tough schedule and losing to a couple #1 teams in larger classes? It's just that these schools need to think about droping out of FB a couple years. Lots of really good teams in 1A. I think by 2nd round in the playoffs. Mayfield will really have to play their best OR.......... Mayfield you are the best 1A team in the state this year. IMO. But just like last year 99% of the people west of Lexington thought Mayfield was #1. 99% was wrong. This year the same!! Now prove everyone right. I don't think any of these schools are going to hand over that trophy without a fight to the finish. Keep your team level headed. And you may win #8!!!:notworthy::thumb:

Mayfield beat up almost all the same opp. last year. You herd some crying about how they should be #1 last year.. But in the end Mayfield got beat bad in the championship game by LCA. So I guess what I'm trying to say is. Lets let the season unfold and see what happens. No crying about muddy fields, rain, snow ect. Every player has to play under the same conditions. So all is fair. No excuses. When it comes to LCA getting blown out tonight. I would say if Mayfield, Beechwood ect was missing nine starters and playing Lexington Cath. the same thing would have happened. Some of the scores may have been not so bad and some worse. Think about what they were missing before giving up or saying they just ain't that good. Take nine starters off your team!! IMO which isn't much. I feel Mayfield is the best. But with injuries, luck (good or bad) things happen. Lot of good teams out their!

Went to the game. Right before the game started it started pouring the rain. Rained hard off and on till halftime. The field was really slippery the entire game. The score at the end of the first quarter was 6-0 NCHS. They controled the first quarter. The second quarter will started waking up a little. At the half we were up 14-6. We had a TD called back in the third qurter for having 12 men on the field. TJ wasn't happy because we never subbed. We owned the fourth quarter. #34 Michael Litteral was running like a machine. Had a couple scores. One was around 50 yards bouncing off tacklers. The clock went out in the third quarter so we were all a little lost. I thought the pass defense gave up way to much. Farley did a good job of hitting his open receivers. Looked like he checked down a couple times and hit his second or third receiver. Only one or two bad decisions over all. Not bad for a sloppy field. Hard to make it cuts on the field tonight. NCHS has some nice players. They hit you and love doing it!! Not a bad team..

To all of the LCA team and fans. You have shown some kind of sportsmanship. Getting beat really bad. Knowing you had NINE starters missing from this game. And not one word about it till half way through this post. Even after hearing about it. You didn't use it as an excuse. Any other fan base (including myself) would have been screaming something like: We were missing half our starters, That wasn't our real team, If the school hadn't punished half our team we would have beaten them. Proud of the way you handled this. You play with what players you have! And that is what you did. Maybe we can all learn from this!!

Hopefully this game doesn't get to out of hand! Good practice tonight in front of a lot of fans for Beechwood. Maybe practice on things you haven't had time to work on.
