  1. What's your order marley?my order would be: Pitchers- Sexton, Cain, Teegarden, Johnson Hitters- Laumann, Sexton, Teegarden, Hempel
  2. Yeah they will be tough. I think you will see them hurting in the beginning of the season with the loss of Gerwe, Warning, Klein and Stayton. They never have a problem with their bats with the style fo ball Krumps plays. Pitching will be there biggest problem. Right now I would say either Shumate or Arnzen. With Hellman as the number 2 or 3.
  3. As most would Coach. Who in your opinion is the top 3 pitchers and top 3 hitters in the region?
  4. That could either really give him an edge for POY if he gets the W's or it could really hurt his chances if he doesn't show up and gets the L's in those games.
  5. HC will be very good this year. Tiberi is a stud at the plate and Ritter will be a force on the mound. This team is very young also like Lloyd. This will be a top 5 team IMO by the end of the season.
  6. I disagree. So your willing to say Asher and Brown are in the same category as Cain, Sexton, Fuller, Ritter, Johnson, Bertke etc.? York is a great outfielder but his bat lacks. Asher and Brown are both very good I just don't think they're in the same category as the ones I mentioned.
  7. Yea I forgot about Ryle. I still don't see them being a big force in the region though. Maybe the 3rd best team in their district. Behind Boone and Cooper. Is Hempel even going to play baseball with him commiting to Harvard for football?
  8. Who are the top teams this year in the 9th? Why are they the top teams? I would have to say the early favorites in no particular order are: Boone County- Laumann and Teegarden returning with a good supporting cast. Teegarden is a gamer and can beat anyone when he's locked in. Dixie Heights- Returning Sexton and Popham with a great JV team coming up that went 20-9 last year. With Sexton on the mound Dixie won't lose this year. Beechwood- Returning EVERYONE. With one of the top pitchers in the region in Johnson they can beat anybody. New Cath- Returning arguably the top pitcher in the Region in Cain. Also they have another big part of their pitching coming back in Gray. There JV team last year was phenomonal last year also.
  9. Its already set and stone that Ryle and Trinity are playing in the state championship so all the other 6A schools should just forfeit the rest of their season and call it quits.
  10. I havent been to any of the events Sexton has been at but I indeed did hear he was around 83-86 at the Junior All Star game. But I also heard when Morehead came to watch him this fall in a tournament he was around 89-90 and consistently around 86-87
  11. Were you there marley? Sounds like an impressive showing by Sexton. Should be an exciting year in NKY with players like Hempel, Laumann, Sexton and Teegarden in the running for POY IMHO.
  12. Both Sexton and Laumann called earlier in the week and said they couldnt be there. Laumann had something to do with UC and Sexton was down at Morehead for a visit.
  13. Pike could possibly be ready to play this weekend but doubt he will due to the game against Boone County does not mean a thing. On the other hand DeMatteo is out for the season.
  14. Yeah I just got word that Sexton and Laumann got invited to play in Columbus in a Blue/ White all star game at Dublin Coffman High School.
  15. I wasnt at the Showcase but I was talking to a couple of the coaches and scouts that were there and they told me that Sexton started the All Star Game on the mound? They also stated that he was constintly arond 87-89 and touched 90. Also I was told that Cottingham has been hitting the ball great in the tournament but just struggled at the all star game. They also did say that his pop time was around a 1.92 1.95.
  16. Tyler Sexton from Dixie was chosen to go to the Tennessee Showcase also.
  17. Coop that's probably what this source told me. They just didn't tell me what he was getting recruited for. Thanks for clearing it up.
  18. He sure does. He's a really solid player. A very good pitcher
  19. I would have to agree with you Clyde. Hempel and Sexton are the only 2 players up here that I would feel comfortable saying one of them will win the POY award. I know Hempel is getting high looks from big schools like WKU, eku, murray, and UC. I've also heard Morehead and EKU is highly interested in Sexton. If all this is true about these two ballplayers, I don't know. Just going by what I've heard from many sources.
  20. Ronald Cotton- University of Cincinnati Trevor Dunaway- Wittenberg
  21. Ronald Cotton also is getting very high looks from UC.
  22. What summer teams do some of these kids from Harrison County play on?
