This is exactly what other HS programs should emulate. Great example for all.

I'd venture to say that Bracken's next big game is the next game they play. You have to do a post mortem on this tournament to understand what went wrong but more importantly what it takes to correct it then forget it. Move forward one game at a time focusing on improving or conversely, deny what problems exist and get the same results. Which game was a fluke? The Campbell County game or the Russell game? If they're serious about getting better you can't make excuses, blame it on referee calls, scheduling, etc. Just my opinion and advice from experience and not a knock toward anyone, or based upon inside information (I certainly don't have any), etc. One old guys humble assessment.

Campbell County, Paris, Clark County, Scott and Mason have separated themselves from the pack this week but overall I've said in other threads this is the weakest 10th region I've ever seen personally and that goes back to the early 70's.

I assume this tournament is in Florida so.......No losers here........It's colder than a well diggers EDITED here in KY

Great run by Clark County this week. This should give them a lot of confidence going forward. This is a premier tournament.

Charge/Block call is pretty subjective and is usually viewed through the biased lens of a partisan fan either way and I wasn't there to see it but nonetheless, it doesn't appear this game was won or lost on that one call. I'm sure Bracken will regroup and get a W against a 6-7 Russell team tomorrow.

I would be on this bandwagon except for an inexplicable loss to Bracken County. Then they blow out a Paris team that beat Bracken by 17 so I'm not ready to drink that Kool aid yet.

Very impressive week for Paris. I truly hope they stay on that track. Could be the first team to win the Class A & Regular 10th region championships since Brossart when I think Willie Schlarman played in the 80's.

Now this is a statistic that means something. I don't know some of the kids listed but I'd venture to say the higher you are on the list the more wins your team would have.

So you're saying you actually had 2 starters out or played limited minutes? That is impressive. Good luck in the rest of the tournament. I have a special place in my heart for the Troutman family.

Cats Pause and Coach Troutman, of Bullitt East, assessment of their ranking. No offense intended, just an observation I have knowledge of, and the 6th is a very good region top to bottom and I think most agree that ours isn't.

Gives us a little more perspective on the strength of the 10th region with Bracken ranked somewhere between 4th and 6th and Bullitt East ranked 10th in the 6th region.

Sorta of an interesting topic the week that Coach Feldhaus, SR. was honored. Now he, IMHO, intimidated referees consistently in his favor and most times it just took a "stare down". Although I'm sure he did get a few T's he was by far the most effective at altering how a game was called.

Nice job Papa. Meant to say that last week. I like to read the narrative especially as you try to bring logic to something that most weeks defies logic.

Obviously, this young man has a real problem. I don't know what if anything is being done to help him but it appears he needs some. I hope Coach K sees that he gets it.

Madison Central is 4-6 with a loss to Clark County. Nice win for Mason though, made some plays at the end to win it. Glad to see them honor Coach Feldhause, SR. A true basketball legend Player, Coach, and leaving a family legacy of contributors at the same level.

My sentiments exactly......If they play CovCath close....... I'll retract my statement because Cov Cath could easily win it all. They are definitely a state top 5 team.
