Guest Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 You can believe the hype this time I would say they should be favored to win the 10th region. What do you think?

B-Ball-fan Posted December 29, 2016 Author Posted December 29, 2016 Heygi with 17, Clos with 16, Bertsch 11 and Day 10. My bad for misleading on individual scoring...I have partial view of scoreboard but could have sworn that I was reading it right.
Guest Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 For years to come One yr at a time. Basketball is funny sport. You never know who will come an go from all these schools. But I think this yr they should be heavy favorites!
AndOneDad Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 (edited) I would say they should be favored to win the 10th region. What do you think? I would be on this bandwagon except for an inexplicable loss to Bracken County. Then they blow out a Paris team that beat Bracken by 17 so I'm not ready to drink that Kool aid yet. Then they blow out a Paris team that beat Bracken by 17 so I'm not ready to drink that Kool aid yet. Think it boils down to can the Camels continue to play well on the road. The Igloo can be tough early in the season for anyone. Can the Camels continue without the home crowd (which has never traveled well) at the Fieldhouse? 10th is still wide open. My gut says Camels, GRC, and Paris with Bracken on the outside with still a chance to develope.
Big Fundamental Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 This is about what I had expected Easy to say, I guess. Not what I expected at all. Newport has been playing pretty well. Only down 10 at half, solid 2ndQ. Heygi is really good. Bertsch was okay, but nothing special. Clos and Day played well. Russell doing a good job with a good team. Can Newport bounce back against Holmes tomorrow???

I just know CC is really good, and Newport is quite young and wasn't at full strength. As for bouncing back against Holmes, you will see a different team tomorrow. They'll be playing with an edge after the loss to CC and having only lost to Holmes by 3 earlier in the year they'll come out firing. I'll say Newport pulls it off by 5
