We seem to be not arguing the same thing, but in the ballpark, so I'll continue to dialogue on the matter. I am not talking about players 11-15 because 11-15 has changed throughout the course of the year at times. I also did not say they were a "top" team. CCH bench would NOT beat anyone in the top 4. Here is what I am emphatically saying and I'll leave it at this: CCH's bench (players not logging significant minutes at this time, maybe players 8-15) would form a team that would beat the likes of Dixie, Newport, Bellevue, Holmes (record 11-13), and everyone behind them. These are teams that are currently ranked RIGHT outside the top 5. I originally said they would be a top 5 or 6 team. That is what I will stick by. Sorry, I just don't see CCH bench losing to Dixie, or Newport, or whomever is down the line.

Brossart by 8. Will be close throughout but Brossart will put it away late. They kind of let the last one slip away and I think they like playing in this gym. Not a real home game, but not at Scott either. Brossart advances.

I see you are back. I guess we'll just have to see where Jefferson goes to High School (He does live in Newport). If I'm wrong, I'll be on here to admit defeat and eat crow. Things change and I could be wrong, but that is the info I have received from a good source. Jefferson, Kremer, Mullikan are the core with another 5 or 6 that can play. Again, I'll take this class vs. most outside of CCH, which will be loaded as usual. Who do you have (outside of CCH) that will be so dominant over NCC's incoming Frosh? I'd like to hear the list? Do tell.

I made a mistake on saying NKY when I meant 9th region. Do I think CCH's bench would be the 5th or 6th ranked team in NKY, Yes, I absolutely do. That means they would be there with Dixie, Newport, Bellevue, Beechwood, and Holmes. I do believe they would beat all of these teams. This is not a vintage Holmes team. They have some bad losses by large margins. The other teams need no explanations for.

Ok, quick disclaimer: When I said this I meant 9th region and not NKY, that was a slip up, although I don't think the 10th is having a great year, so allow me a slight mea culpa for that and the fact that CCH's rotation has moved a bit throughout the year, so for the purpose of brevity, lets just say CCH's bench. So, moving on, If your Top 5 or 6 in the 9th REGION, according to current rankings are: 1. CCH 2. Cooper 3. NCC 4. Holy Cross 5. Conner Then I absolutely think CCH's "second group" would DEFINATELY fit in the group below these with Dixie, Newport, Bellevue and yes, even Holmes, who I believe to be very down this year. So, I am admitting mistake on Region vs Nky, but not backing down on that CovCath's bench would absolutely fit in the 6 hole after the top 5 above and likely play with the #5 I don't think that is "Losing my mind" A potential lineup of Heppler, Walter, Davin, Schuh, and Ziegelmeyer or whomever is on the bench and not getting significant playing time now would certainly compete with those teams mentioned above AFTER the top 4. I am not sold on any team in this region outside of the big 4. (CCH, NCC, Cooper, HC)

Walter, Davin, Gunnar Schuh, Hunter Ziegelmeyer, and Thelen would be a top 5 or 6 varsity team in NKy. I know this not exactly CCH's 11-15 but these are not significant minutes players. This 5 would hammer Highlands. It is what is is at this moment in time.

No doubt, the IBL is stacked with several players in each age group.

Brossart's Code does a fantastic job. Is there a better development of talent program? They have a thin bench and maybe not the best talent coming in but he manages the game and they play great D. I'm not a Brossart guy and am a total Code convert because I prefer a Paul Wesehead style of play. "A good Defense is a great offense" But Code has converted me. They are in every game they play. Congrats to Coach Code and the Mustang players. Good luck this week.

NCC and Cooper have a chance to get them this year but CCH will win the next two after that. NCC incoming Frosh could be special but CCH is simply having an embarrassment of basketball riches with a college coach at the helm. It's gonna be tough to knock them off. That said, i saw a spirited Newport squad nearly knock CCH out last year. Rod Snapp still can't sleep at night over that one, so no matter what the pipeline looks like, you still have to play.

I'm with Clyde, Lawnboy, and others, I think CCH 11-15 would be a competitive team in the 9th region. Not necessarily for the title but better than a lot of varsity teams. The school is at an all time high basketball wise. They are better than HHS 1-5. Look at the names. Some of these kids started as Frosh and JV and are now relegated to the bench. A lot are Soph- Juniors who already handled their HHS counterparts in Freshman/JV ball. It's an embarrassment of riches right now at CCH. It's hard to get minutes on this team.

Is she even going to coach again next year? Serious question as I heard it was a one year deal by either her choice or others. Regardless, congrats to the Tribe Frosh for getting the ring.

CCH by 15-20 vs Holmes Holy Cross by 7-10 vs Beechwood. CCH by 8-12 over Holy Cross Nothing really earth shattering in this district. But.............the entire state has been crazy this year so anything is possible.

Although behind the scenes I have heard that HHS was none too pleased with the game time change considering they had the game last night. So, the bad blood is still there

Yeah, it being a day game, nice weather, HHS having a bad season, I would have predicted a low turnout, but the Soccer team ceremony and their families will add to the crowd. Just two teams going in opposite directions leads to apathy on both sides.

Beechwood is just an average team. They can change a lot of perception with a Disrrict win vs HC. Other than that, it's an average season. I just don't see enough quality wins vs bad losses.

You're not really going to start something about CCH and NCC getting players from other communities are you? When HHS was a power the players were from all over. I really don't need to drop names, do I? But I digress..... I have reasons to support both schools (I went to one, Son goes to other). I root for both football programs and soccer teams as well. Is that not allowed? I also like Brossart to so add another Catholic school in the mix. I am not sure why you are so sore about whatever perceived comments or "Cracks" made about other schools. I have heard on here that the pipeline is loaded for HHS future but I disagree, only because I have heard it before and it hasn't panned out. Am I allowed that opinion? When I see the future Birds beat some quality teams I will be a believer. Pretty simple and no "Crack" intended. Relax.
