Looks as if Casey is a team that your not sure who is going to show up. They beat Pulaski and play Mccreary tough but get drilled by Russell and nearly lose to Southwestern. The battle between them, Pulaski and Rockcastle to avoid playing Somerset in the district is going to be very interesting.

I thought Wayne had been the favorite in that district all along since they returned basically everyone and beat Mccreary three times last year.

Come on people, there's no sense in sugar-coating this. You all know this is going to be Somerset by AT LEAST 25 and probably closer to 35. You sound like politicians who don't want to turn the other set of voters so your being pc to Southwestern. I say 82-51.

Seems like Somerset keeps Somerset from winning it all every March. Also I think there are a handful of teams in the region that can stop Somerset, Somerset is certainly in the mix but they are far from head and shoulders better than everyone else.

Can anyone explain what Div I, II and III are. Who determines the divisions?

Out of the 24 entries in the 12th region tournament contest (which is now licked for some reason) eight entries are currently tied with perfect brackets through the semifinals. Four have Boyle picked to win and the other four have Lincoln. Super, Hopper24, LCPats have Lincoln to win with Perrin the tiebreaker pick. Jumperpride has Lincoln with Miller. Underpar, SilentBob and Gold Sunrise have picked Boyle with Perrin the tiebreak and GCHS UK9 has Williams as the tiebreaker. At the bottom of the picks are Slink, EJHSfan#98 and Hector who all picked three correct in the first round but missed both semifinal picks.

Who did you hear won it? My guesses would be W Jessamine's coach or Pulaski's coach

I think Boyle wins pretty comfortably, probably the largest margin of victory of the first round.

I've not seen many (if any) complaints about the refs not knowing the rules of the game usually it's what they saw or think they saw and if they called it or not that draws complaints from fans. As for the question I'm not a ref either but I say you have to know if player A1 stepped out of bounds after saving the ball, if he did I say he can't be the first player to touch the ball after coming back into play even if he does clearly establish position inbounds before touching it.

Anyone know if they have put any new lights in at Lincoln's gym or will we need to bring our night vision goggles?

Pride50 my guess is that no one is predicting an easy win for SW just that most feel SW will win in a close game. I can't see any game in the tourney that I would expect to be more than a 6-8 point game. The only thing that would shock me is if Wayne played well enough to win three in a row and won it. I think they are good enough to beat any team in it but not consistent enough to win three in a row.

Southwestern won by 1. Wayne had the ball with 5 seconds to go and threw it away on an inbounds pass. SW had a nine or ten point lead late in the game but Wayne made another comeback and cut it to 1.

It would be hard enough to seed the 16 team state tournament as it is now. It would be nearly impossible to seed 64 teams from across the state.

How consistent is McCreary? They beat Lincoln and E Jessamine and then struggle with Whitley, Monticello and Taylor Co. They beat Pulaski early in the year and then lose to Cumberland Co. They get drilled by SW and then beat them the next time. You say that McCreary is better than Wayne when Wayne has beaten them twice, that has to be a biased opinion. I agree with you that Wayne is very inconsistent but they have the ability to win the region. They have proven that they can beat McCreary, E Jessamine, Mercer and I don't think an eight point loss at Somerset isn't something they could overcome if they meet again. Maybe those four teams are the ones they play in the postseason, there is no guarantee than Lincoln, Boyle, W Jessamine will be standing in their way.
