West Jessamine vs Pulaski

Featured Replies

I saw where West beat PC, this suprises me because Pulaski has been playing well as of late.

Does anyone have any details from this game?

No details but West has now won 12 of 15 games so they too have been playing well.

In this region there are no surprises among the top 10 schools, west is now 11-3 in the region.

It is a crapshoot as to who will win the 12th.

Eight teams, Slink:

McCreary Central

Lincoln County

Boyle County

West Jessamine

East Jessamine

Southwestern

Somerset

Pulaski

If... they all get out of their district.

If you put McCreary in there (which you should) SSF why would you not include Wayne County who has beaten them twice as well as just beating E Jessamine.

Good post:thumb:

I just thought PC size advantage would propel them to victory. This is why I don't gamble.

Like I said, 12th Region is a crapshoot.

I dont think the 12th region shoots that crappy

Because they aren't consistent. McCreary is a better team that Wayne County, and when McCreary plays their game, Wayne has a very slim chance to win.

You have to look at them overall. They played good against McCreary twice this year, and once against Southwestern. If Wayne played their best basketball, they would win the district, but I just don't see them doing that this year. It will be hard for McCreary to win at Wayne against Wayne, but I think it's very, very likely. It's hard to beat a team three times in a year, and that is what Wayne is trying to do.

How consistent is McCreary? They beat Lincoln and E Jessamine and then struggle with Whitley, Monticello and Taylor Co. They beat Pulaski early in the year and then lose to Cumberland Co. They get drilled by SW and then beat them the next time. You say that McCreary is better than Wayne when Wayne has beaten them twice, that has to be a biased opinion. I agree with you that Wayne is very inconsistent but they have the ability to win the region. They have proven that they can beat McCreary, E Jessamine, Mercer and I don't think an eight point loss at Somerset isn't something they could overcome if they meet again. Maybe those four teams are the ones they play in the postseason, there is no guarantee than Lincoln, Boyle, W Jessamine will be standing in their way.

Struggled with Whitley, Monticello, and Taylor.. and still won.

Wayne was blown-out at home against Southwestern, when they had the opportunity to take the #1 seed. They've lost 8 of their last 11, including getting smoked by Lynn Camp. They have the ability to win games, but they aren't doing it, and if they do beat McCreary, I don't think it will be a shock. Some teams player better against other teams, and Wayne plays good against McCreary.

Agreed the 12th goes thru Lincoln, West and Boyle for sure. Good Teams with good coaches who can win and proven it all year.

.

That was a 12 point game and Coach Woods put in the JV squad with about 5 minutes to go. The Final score was not indicitive of how close the game was throughout.

I think Taylor Co. is a cut above Whitley and "The Old" Monticello.

I think both Wayne and McCreary are both quality teams. And their district game should be a barn burner

Wayne Co. and McCreary Central are both quality teams.

McCreary is a rough team, and they were whistled for 25 fouls compared to only 13 against Taylor County. Taylor County also shot 36 free throws compared to McCreary's 14. Coach Jones was also called for a technical. So, without the fouls, this game would have been a large win for the Raiders... or I "assume."
