I think any decent team from the east side of the bracket is a contender. Getting to the finals isn't that difficult and once there, anything can happen in a one game winner take all..

Union Co is another team that may surprise some people. They've had a good team the last couple of years but couldn't get over the Caldwell and Murray hump, but, from all I've read the last couple of years, they were young, so, maybe they have a Sr dominated team and ready to take that next step. Can anyone tell me more about what they have returning and what they're expecting in Morganfield?

Look for Caldwell Co to surprise some folks. Most people feel that they were a one man show with Sindelar the past 4 years, but, Caldwell has built a strong program that typically dresses 65-70 kids with a lot of good athletes, some able to play D1 ball. As disappointing as they were the last couple of years with Sindelar, they were still one of the Top 3-4 2a teams in the state and capable of winning it all. I think they give PT all they want in D1 and with SWarren moving up, I don't see anyone else in that region that can beat them, so, they have a real opportunity to at least make the semi-finals.i

OB Catholic has never lacked for offensive fire power. The questions always been on the defensive side of the ball. What do the Aces return on D this year and are they expecting to be improved, about the same or worse?

Thanks.. I saw it on CoachT web site and it was on the 1st page in the forums, so, you'd figure it was this years scrimmage. Wonder why a 2013 scrimmage game would be on the 1st page. Weird.

Ensworth just beat the crap out of Maryville in a scrimmage.. Each team had the ball for 6 series, where Ensworth scored 3 times and Maryville only picked up 1 1st down. From listening to the Maryville coach, Ensworth is clearly the best team in Tn and he said it's really not that close. He made reference to them strickly lining up and running it up the middle and that Maryville's D couldn't stop it. Praised their RBs and OL and said they're good enough to beat any team in the state by just running the ball, but, once they get into a real game and open up the playbook, they're going to be scary. Also praised how good the Tiger D was from the OL to LBs to secondary. This will be a tough game for Trinity. I'd say a defensive struggle, most likely. If I were T, I'd load the box and make them throw it to beat you.

It's hard to know from one year to the next what the Falcons will look like, but, based on the last couple of years, they appear to be on a down slide. Even so, they're usually hard nosed and tough at home. I just don't think they have enough to contend with this Cardinal team... Mayfield 35 Ft Campbell 6
