I would mostly agree but also think that they have three very strong classes in a row and two more coming. The Frosh this year will have some very nice players and next years 8th grade class is extremely good. So, I do not think it is this year or bust. I think very much the opposite.

I would say strong, athletic, and nasty. Not huge, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.

Nothing wrong with Cooper or any of the teams in the 33rd. Good athletes on all four teams. 33rd says see you @ regional.

Good kids in that group and should be a great reunion night when they hook up with the other boys from Union. Ryle will have Bryce Ashley, Grant Beagle, Jaret Pagliano, Jake Long and others coming off of play action from Colin England. Should be a fun year for both schools.

I understand that the best teams don't always win 1 and done scenarios but do you have enough knowledge of all of the teams in the state to say that Owensboro is not the best?

I am a Ky fan but I believe that Duke was the best team at the right time and yes, the best team won the state this year in Ky. To say otherwise is a slap in the face of the effort that the Owensboro kids gave.

No, if you are going to post like the expert, do a little homework. People view you as the guy to go to concerning basketball on here (and I mean that as a compliment). If you are going to represent kids, then represent. People get on here and spout off about what they know but do not know as much as they let on. If you do not know, then don't post anything.

For someone from Union that reports on basketball you sure do not know much about Ryle. The returning players are Turner, Scherr, OHara, Driscoll, Owens, Webster, Cheesman. You left off Bryce Ashley, who started some games as a sophomore this season and Austin McDaniel, who can really play. He missed most of last season but will be a big time contributor next year. You also did not include Zac Kircheler, who is 6'5 and started down the stretch.

Keep living in fantasy land. The field is not even close to level and everyone knows it. Keep bumping the chest and spouting off on how many tainted state championships you win. That is what is really important.

Why don't they join GCL and see how many titles they would have. They would be on the wrong side of the wins and losses and crying about fairness. We have to make sure the chest pumping continues for teams that have an obvious advanatage. How dare someone create this thread!

Return a great RB and many high level skill players. Their Defense will be much more athletic and fast this year. The question marks this year for Ryle, SK, and Cooper will be depth and skill on the OLine in my opinion. Should be some great games in 6A this year in NKy.

Good representation from NKY in the Finals 3 Campbell County wrestlers in finals(Yenter, Wells, and Myers) 2 Ryle wrestlers(Erdman and Meiman), 1 SK (Miller), 1 Dixie (Johnson) There are also many of the NKy kids fighting for 3rd place matches as well.

That is my whole point. Seeding is in the eye of the beholder and there would not be a fair way to do it that would satisfy everyone. In other words, leave it alone.

College basketball has a panel of "experts" and often do a terrible job with seeding. My point is that there are too many opinions and bias, especially on boards like this to be able to accurately seed a tourney. There are not enough people that are truly in the middle. You can argue all you want about CCH being the one seed based on what you think the best criteria is. I can just as easily argue another team is worthy of the 1. CCH is a very good team and may very well win the region but you can look at it from the perspective of what team is playing better right now. Dixie just man handled CCH a couple of weeks ago, so many would not rank CCH #1 .

You certainly could see holes in this right off the bat though. Didn't Dixie just beat CCH pretty handily a couple of weeks ago? Why would CCH be the 1 seed? There would be NO ONE in this area and specifically this web site that could objectively seed the teams.

Almost all of Ryle's players play multiple: Sophomores: Bryce Ashley - Football, Track - has lettered at all three as a Frosh/Sophomore Aaron O'Hara - Football - has lettered at both as a soph Cooper Scherr - Football- injured during football or would already be 2 sport letterman Austin McDaniel - Football - injured during football or would already be 2 sport letterman Jackson High - football - lettered already in varsity football Josh Puthoff - baseball Parker Bisek (frosh) - football Juniors Zack Kirschler - Baseball Logan Turner - Baseball Seniors that are moving on, Jake Puthoff and Max Lonnaman also play baseball and Eric Moore played football.

It would have to have some affect on the game. Mayberry is very strong and a very confident player. He makes a difference. That being said Dixie is a very tough team to beat right now no matter who is playing.
