Yes all games at BOKC. The girls games are played later. I believe at 6 and 7:30 are their start times.

I think the 6:30 semifinal should be the Friday night winners.

Why are they not just moving tonight's games to tomorrow night?

Seems highly unusual that they flipped a bracket without moving the entire tournament back a day.

This impacts the draw and changes the logistics of the tournament.

Dixie, Boone, NCC and Holmes were scheduled to play three games in four days, are now playing three games in five days, whereas CovCath, Newport, Cooper and St. Henry who were scheduled to play three games in six days are now playing three games in in four days.

I'm surprised that the latter schools aren't screaming bloody murder, that the advantage gained by luck of the draw has now been nullified and the bottom bracket teams have now gained a perceived (improved) advantage because of the rescheduling.

Moving the entire tournament back and having the top bracket play on Friday night and the bottom bracket play on Saturday, would have still given them a slight edge and a few more hours rest. This way the bottom bracket teams have been awarded a free 24hours that they didn't have when the pills rolled out of the bottle, and the upper bracket teams have been disadvantaged by the move.

I'm not sure that I understand this.

Agree, Mustang.

Keeping the Friday night games intact and moving tonight's games to Saturday must be an expense thing. Tickets for Friday printed and distributed to the schools. Would be added expense to change those in addition to the tix now being reprinted and distributed for Saturday. Just my guess.

I wonder if UK playing at 2:00pm on Saturday will hurt attendance for the Quarter-finals.

That could make sense.

I sincerely doubt that the tickets show anything more than Session 1, Session 2 etc.., perhaps with a date and time adfixed.

I'm hearing that the core reason for keeping Friday session intact, was to not conflict with girls' teams playing in the Saturday semis, which makes no sense, since they are playing in the same venue and there is no travel involved.

Personally, I don't think the rest factor comes into play. I do however think the mental aspect of having to "wait" to play as mentally these players that were ready to play on Wednesday most likely had some adrenaline that they were ready to cut loose with. My assumption is that 80%, or more, of the key players for most of these teams play AAU ball and when you are on that circuit you could be playing as many as 3 hard fought games in one day let alone over the span of 4 days so my opinion is the rest factor is nil.

In actuality, I think once the tourney starts the teams that were delayed from Wednesday will be glad of the revised schedule as my personal opinion playing on Wednesday and then having to sit and wait 4 days to have to get up and get it going again on Sunday may have been too much of a layoff, it may have always been like that as I honestly cannot remember. Either way, it's not the best situation but no one will care once this thing gets going. The weather has surely put a damper on things as it's been a long time off for all the teams. JMO
