I would think that playing Powell Co, Bell Co, Jackson Co, McCreary Central, and Knott Co would prepare Corbin for the speed Central has. I guess some Corbin fans see this as another cupcake game since Belfry was way overrated and Corbin beat Central last year and nothing has changed but the coach at Central.

Cut the 6 classes in half. Split 6A in middle and have 6A1 and 6A2 state champions. Do same for each class. At least it gives the lower groups a chance.

Take the beat teams and let them play for state title 1A, make teams like Beechwood, Trinity, Bowling Green, Mayfield, Belfry, etc all play in same playoff bracket. If they don’t like it tell them to train harder. Have state title 2A, 3A, etc. Give teams like Berea, Jenkins, Phelps, Jackson Co, etc a chance to play similar teams.

No classes needed in any sport. Just tell kids to train harder, I mean there is no reason kids from a poor community and school of about 200 boys can’t compete with Trinity in anything. Why that 5’2 point guard needs to train better at shooting the basketball while training in his FAMILY Dollar shoes. Why there is no reason that 5’8 170 lb right tackle can’t block that D1 tackle that’s 6’3 295. He just needs to lift more weights while waiting for his divorced mom to get off from her 3rd job. Not every kid or school has the talent or players to compete for a state title but Hell let them compete for something and give them a chance.

Me too. Its really unfair for a lot of schools. You can say get better or whatever, but that sometimes doesnt matter. Every school is different and not as blessed as some schools. Why punish kids or coaches for stuff they cant control. For example how do you tell a team getting ready to play another team with 50 more kids that they need to work harder.

If thats the score then semis is as far as Corbin goes.

7 Refs is awful. More calls and more refs thinking they have to throw a flag for something.

Trade more film. But it seriously has to be that the kids that were coming to Highlands from other places arent anymore. My BF that has many family from NK and Highlands has said that kids that once came from other schools to Highlands are just staying at their schools now. Highlands has been down before in my lifetime, but this is a little different.
