NCC wins the 9th on Monday. Will be shocked if they don't. Front line brings shades of SK81. That same strength will take them far at Rupp.

Sure hope Ruholt is 100% Friday night. Kid was playing lights out against Ryle when he went out with a twisted ankle. He just wasn't as effective when he returned with a noticeable hobble. I believe that game would of been different had he stayed in the game healthy. If Dixie decides to take Hemmerich out of the game like Ryle did, someone else from Conner is going to have to step up in a big way. Conner is going to have to make BH work for every point he gets. Can't give him easy uncontested looks. He will make you pay. Should be a good game.

If this would count as a recruiting visit, then what about other teams in NKY playing regular season games on college courts? Wouldn't this constitute the same violation you speak of? I'm sure if it was indeed a violation, Coach Hicks would not have done it.

Hard fought game by both teams. Three things stuck out for me: -Ryle 1/3/1 zone really stymied Conner early. Conner had trouble attacking and had multiple TO's. -Defense in 2nd half by #20 on Hemmerich. Took him out of the game. Lock down mode. -Ruholt injury killed Conner mojo. Kid had 16 in first half and did return in the 2nd half but just not the same. Kudos to him for gutting it out. Good luck to both teams next week.

Strongly disagree that scholarships equate to one's bank account. Just look at all the kids on schollys that qualify for Pell Grants. Any idea what it takes to qualify for a PG? It also comes down to priorities and sacrifice.

Great job by the Cougars last evening. They got the steam rolling in the second half and Cooper had no answer. Hemmerich was taking Hathorn to school and the Watts throw down sent the crowd into a frenzy. Great resiliency by the Conner team. Lot of teams would have quit when they got down by 16. S. McNeil had 11 at the half and I believe he was shut out in the second half. Once Conner got out of the zone and manned up, it was all she wrote. Good luck Friday boys!

I want to make sure I am not misinterpreting you. Are you saying it takes a lot of money to attend camps? If so, then that's what I mean by has zero to do with it. The best camps are free and pay for your travel to get there. College camps are not expensive either. Why do you think you have to have a lot of money to get exposure?

Money has zero to do with this. Zero.

I disagree whole heartedly with the theory that high schools must do things to create recognition for players. If a kid can play, he can play. It doesn't matter what high school he attends. The key is getting the kid to camps where he is going to go head to head with top National talent, having a very supportive HS Coach and a tremendous work ethic. Once he proves himself against the best of the best, then he will get recognition by the Big 4 recruiting services and the offers will flow. You do NOT have to attend Trinity or Highlands to get a scholarship.

Sounds like a good game. I really hope Conner makes it to the BOKC this year. They have yet to play on that floor and this group really deserves it imo. Good luck Wednesday night to the Cougars.
