  1. I don't mean it as a slam on Fairview. If the khsaa has looked at it. And nothing is wrong. Then who am I to say anything bad about it. I'm just saying they get some very talented kids out of that area. It helps them lots!
  2. Top four imo looks good. IMO Fairview should be in the number five slot. With the pipeline of Huntington West Virginia students coming in. Sure makes them a good team. They play a very weak schedule. But they do blow them all out. Until someone comes up and beats them I feel they should be ranked higher. They were something like 10-1 or 10-2 last season. And this year they are 3-0. Soon to be 4-0. I like our Rams in the 8/9 position. 5. Fairview, 6. Frankfort, 7. Pikeville 8. Raceland, 9. Harlan and 10. KCD Just my silly opinion! Everyone is playing up this week except one team. Getter done 1A!
  3. Good luck Williamsburg. Leave it all on the field!
  4. Doesn't matter what the score is saturday. You know that the RAMs will give it everything they have. These kids are RAM tough.
  5. Thank you Greenup Co coaching staff!
  6. I just need to say someting about a man I didn't know very well. But did talk in passing from time to time. Just a view from someone from the outside looking in. Our kids play on the same team. So I would see him and we would say hi. And sometimes talk about the team a little. I truly believe Mr Elkins died doing what he loved to do. And that is setting in the stands with his wife by his side. Watching his son play sports. You could tell he was a very proud father. And rightfully so. You'll never see a better looking and more respectful kid then Adam. You could tell this was a very tight family. Often I would be in the stands watching practice. And you could see Mr Elkins wife walking the track with friends. When she and friends would make that trip around you could see them make eye contact and smile. Sometimes make a joke. Both were very lucky to have that. You will I bet never find a husband and wife work harder then them. Just awesome boosters for our little school. Mr Elkins will be missed by out school and athletic programs. You can't replace someone like him. I asked myself many times. How do they do it? Where do they find the time? I read in the paper today he was born in Pikeville. I can't believe this is where his life ended. On the football field watching his son. Setting with his wife. In the same town he was born 43 years ago. You will be missed!
  7. I think the Tomcats have a little to much speed for the devils to handle. I'll take the cats by 10.
  8. I was just told that it was Adam Elkins Racelands QB dad that was setting behind us. He had a heart attact. On the way to the hospital he passed away. Please keep Adam and his family in all of your prayers. Adam and his family are great people. Can't believe I just heard this.
  9. Coach did the right thing. We made the extra two points the first td. Tried kicking on the second td. It was a bad snap. Missed. So on the 3rd and final td. It was a no brainer. Go for the win. I wish we would have gone for two every time. Like Ashland does. Pikeville has a very good kicker. Kicked 5 yards deep in the endzone everytime.
  10. Lets see. Marcus Reed went down in the first half from what looked like was over heating. But did come back in the second half and played. Conner Messer I believe was taken to the hospital for what I was told was the same as Reed only worse. Lots of players with cramping. I do want to congrat Pikeville on the win. They played hard. We had a chance to win the game with about 15 seconds remaining going for two. But we jumped off sides. That put us on the 7. We tried a pass. But failed. Brian Caudill ran the ball with every thing he had tonight. Conner Messer for the little time he played. Played awesome. The defense line played well. And lots of the time the offense line opened up some nice holes for our backs. Wouldn't doubt we had 250 yards rushing. Just way to many mistakes. Felt like we could have won that game by two td's. Hope Messer is ok. One of the fans passed out in the stands and had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. Our pass defense once again killed us. We have got to regroup and get better at that. But over all it was a good effort for a very young team.
  11. Let the games begin! I was told that the RAM fans will be treated great. But what happens on the field they can't control! This should be a great game with an awesome atmosphere! Plus I hear the food ain't bad either! I for one am excited to go to Pikeville and play a team with so much tradition and pride. And a team that is our own class (1A). And if we can go down to Pikeville where football is treated like a second religion. And pull out a win. It would be an awesome feat. And great for the mentality of our team. I really don't mind being ranked eight nine or even ten at this point. I just hope that we play well enough to move up in the rankings each week. We'll see where the Rams should be ranked after we play fairview and Pikeville. I also believe Mayfield and Beechwood are in a class above the rest of the field. I do believe Mayfield should still be #1.
  12. Good luck friday night cnc78 and the rest of W,burg...
  13. Good luck this week. I believe you can win this game.
  14. I don't think any RAM fan on here thinks this team compares to the Denton, Carver or Swed team. We all know that we got beat by a superior team in every way.. I think that DOC even said that. Why are so angry. It says in the post you are replying to: The tomcats are the lions and our ram team are the christians. What did the lions do the christians in the arena?? Didn't hear one excuse!
  15. Going to enjoy this year win or lose. But I'm really looking foward to next four or five seasons..
  16. O man what I would give to have this schedule.. Fairview should run away with this one also!! BUT..... They are playing at home. FCHS does play better at home it seems like.
  17. Little doubt that it won't happen. But I will go down fighting and hoping for the Kentucky team. Hard headedness maybe! Ol Kentucky pride thing for sure.
  18. Won't vote againt a kentucky team. So I'll go with the devils.
  19. I won't ever go against the RAMs. Seen them pull way to many upsets!! I'm going to the game so I expect the RAMs to win. Lots of respect going out to Pikeville though.
  20. Part 2 of a tough nondistrict away schedule. I watched about ten minutes of the Pikeville and Harlan game. Pikeville looks very good. Speed, strong lineplay, great backfield. Two hour road trip and playing a very tough Pikeville. Another big challenge this week for the young RAMs!
