Ashland 58 Raceland 12
Amen!! If you can't stomach it. Just mail your $5.00 to the school!! I just have to say. Mostly because I can never keep my mouth shut. And you'll never not know what I'm thinking. If any school around here scheduled the strength of schedule like us. We wouldn't have many teams around here with five or six wins this year. Ashland, Boyd, Greenup, Russell, Lawrence all would have to go to the Lexington, Louisville and Huntington area to schedule. Fairview would have to add Ashland, Russell, Lawrence Co. Heck we could win nine or ten games a year if we scheduled down like a few. It's a PRIDE thing!! plus teams don't like to play the lil rams most years. Hurts their pride!

Russell 35 Greenup County 14
Greenups second game.. Russell's first. That could have made some difference!! Sounds like Greenup may have learned a few things from last weeks game. And Russell may have been learning on the fly! Anyway, sounds like adjustments were made..

My Rams were out matched tonight. Congrats to the tomcats. You got a very good team. IMO the best in the northeast. And a top two or three in the east. When the cats spread it out on offense. They have lots of weapons. Fast backs. Great QB with QB smarts!! He runs and throws with the best. The cat line is very aggressive on both sides of the ball. They will stick you.. Good luck the rest of the season tomcats..

Russell 35 Greenup County 14
A 360 degree turn-a-round from last year. Last year. GC wins 28-6. 2011---Russell wins 35-14. What a difference a year can make. Sounds like the devils played better defense the second half.

Harlan 41 Williamsburg 22
Congrats to Harlan. Looks like our frinends down south took it on the chinn like our Rams did. Maybe next week!! Hope both came out healthy..

Raceland/Ashland Updates
I left at halftime. Ashland started hitting our corners hard and the speed of some of the Tomcat backs were just to much for us to contain. The cats when they get it rolling are a very good team. Very hard hitting and well coached. Our Rams have some work to do! On offense we were outmatched up front. On defense we just couldn't match the speed. The tomcats should have a very good season!! Good luck the rest of the year tomcats.

Greenup County @ Russell/ thoughts and predictions
Greenup Co lost to much from last years 5-6 team. Greenup Co had 40+ points scored on them four times last year.. This years team will bypass that this year. Russell will roll. Take last years score flip it and double it. Score 56-12.

Raceland @ Ashland predictions
No your not ballbrain. What your saying is all true. The RAMS will have to play a great game in every phase. I went to the Tomcats and Dawgs game. The cats play very physical. So did the Dawgs. By spreading the field and sending multi receivers out and having a very mobile QB that sees the field as well as any I've seen. It's going to be hard for the RAMS to stop the cats. I don't know how we can slow down the cats. If there is a way I'm sure our coaching staff will implement it in to game plan. One thing is for sure. The RAMS must sustain long drives and keep the cats offense off the field. I guess I just answered the question on how to slow down the cats!! man.. lol

Raceland 29 East Carter 9
The great thing about this game is we get a win while gaining experience. The coaches learned alot about this team. The rushing game was very good. Almost six yards per carry. And three rushing TD's. D-backs played well. WE STAYED HEALTHY!!

Raceland 29 East Carter 9
E Carter has a nice back and some hitters. They will get better. Enough of the nice stuff. The RAMS special teams got to get it together. Oh my!! The bright spot on S T's was the onside kick. A thing of beauty. Two punt returns lost, kickoff returned for a TD, or was it a punt return. I was engaged in a trip to the RR., Letting the ball go out of bounds inside your own 10y l. Good thing is. All can be fixed of course. Some nice openings opened up for our backs and some nice runs. The defense was put in some bad positions and fought through them all. Big test next week. Cut down those big special teams mistakes!

Ashland at Lawrence County prediction
Maybe the number thirteen is the big problem!! :idunno: Injuries, having to open up with a power like the tomcats. I just hope it doesn't rain and the temp drop 40 degrees.

East Carter/Raceland (Aug 20th) Thoughts and Predictions
I think it's more like two or three feet in each corner of the endzone. Half? Whats up with that Colonel 17? Just kidding. I hear what your saying. Lots of RAMS wish it wasn't like that. Lots of talk about solving this issue. Hey it's been like this so long the coaches have learned to take advantage of it and make it part of the game plan! lol

East Carter/Raceland (Aug 20th) Thoughts and Predictions
I have read on here about our offense and defensive line has to play better. On the street you hear about our QB being so young. I read on here about East Carter has lots of confidence. But what do they bring to the game. What kind of team do they have? Do they run, throw or mix it up? Are they a physical team? Do they rely on speed or strength? Can they stop our running game with Caudill in the backfield sometimes being the lead blocker? Can they stop our short passing game? Our Qb seems to be catching on really quick and gaining lots of confidence. Going to be fun watching our two QB's grow and gain confidence and respect in this area. It won't be built over night. But a few games in the season with this schedule. These guys will be ready for district play.. The team will be ready.
