:thumb: I'd say over the past few years we have lost more then a few games because of a poor kicking. Helps so much in tight games to have a good kicker.

At this point I'd say no. But the teams listed above and a few left off this list will have good seasons and compete with the best. Just don't know if any can get over that hump. You never know though. Always surprises each and every year. But you would think the cream of the crop this year will be once again Mayfield, Beechwood and a couple others. But with injuries and luck you never know.

Painter I don't know how to ask this without sounding sarcastic. And believe me I'm not meaning to. But doesn't somebody have to be the smallest. Or is their such a large margin between the bottom of the 5A schools and Ashland. And would it be benificial for the Football team to be in class 4A. I know HHS is a big big factor. But who would you end up playing in 4A Lawrence, Greenup, Rowan Co.. What about the playoffs. Wouldn't it be Bell Co. and Boyle Co.?

I hope that this is a great game to watch. I got a feeling it will be. I also have a feeling this will be a very physical game. I hope that whoever wins will be physically ready for the championship game. This game IMO is the 1A game of the week. The BATTLE of the North and West. This game won't be for the weak hearted fans. Smash mouth football at it's best. Whoever wins the turnover battle wins the game.

That don't bold well for the other teams the next few years! Good luck to you guys friday night. You better be ready for a fight. I know your coaches will have everything taken care of.

0 snakesnot congrats on your 1000 post. I've injoyed reading alot of what you write about. I said in an earlier post that in my heart I feel like Mayfield is going to win this game. Mayfield has things going for them. Grass field, playing at home , 5 1/2 hour trip, speed, having to stay in a hotel ect. But I do feel like it is going to be a knock down grag out kind of game. Crunch-time take everything he says with a grain of salt! He likes to give his opinion. But don't give yours or he will go off on you. He'll come back at me now with something crazy. This will be a heck of a game. Both of these teams are very well coached. And will have the teams ready to play. If Beecwood stays home and comes down a few hours before the game friday. Some will say you should have came down thursday. And if you stay all night the day before the same people will find something wrong with that to. To be in the game at the end of the 3rd qtr with Highlands says great things for BW. And to have someone say that that was about as bad as HHS could play could be because of the team they were playing. Good teams can make good teams look bad sometimes. Even Mayfield has had some big ups and downs the last three or four weeks. Losing one game at the end of the year. Some will come back and say it was because of the rain. But both teams had to play in it. Now I will say Mayfield is I'm sure a better team. But not that night. Maybe they just didn't match up well. Who knows. Turnovers is a big part of the game. And Mayfield has turned it over to much lately. They let CC stay in the game because of it. Mayfield is a great team I hear if they don't turn it over. But so are alot of other teams. So to say because of a few games vs the likes of HHS you get beat. You are a 21 point underdog. Highlands very well could be the best team in the state. Nomatter what class. The same can be said about Mayfield. Getting beat by Christ. Co and letting CC scare them. Mayfield has some really good guys on here. And they will tell you constructive things. And they won't argue with you. Ony discuss, which is good.

Raceland is going down to play Pikeville tonight at 7:30.

Thanks LCA. Now I don't have to take the family out to eat before the game. We can eat right there. Maybe I'll drive through KFC and get some sides and sneak them in under my blankets!!:lol: So much cheaper plus I don't have to leave that 75 cent tip.:lol: That always kills me. You may want to post this periodically for the Hazard fans. My family and I went to eat at the mall last week before the game. My wife told me to come out on the side where the over pass is . But I didn't listen and went straight out to the highway side. It wasnt black friday or any other special day. But it took me 20 extra minutes of driving. And doing things that I maybe could have got a ticket for. People better heed to this statement or you may get to the game at halftime!

Two Eagles the RAMS may have been ranked #1. But LCA and RACELAND was so evenally matched that it just come down to mistakes. All you have to do is look at the scores. Both of these teams could have been tied for first all year. I think you have a much bigger seperation in all these teams this year. JMO

In a lot of games weather conditions mean more than stats. Some teams will play better than another say in cold or rainy weather. But using your stats after ten or twelve games sure does give you a feel of where these teams are. I'm sure Hazard will come in all fired up and ready to play. But this LCA team is on a mission. You can tell it. I've seen it first hand. They come out focused and mentally ready to do battle. And they are GOOD. IMO it will take a very very good team that has a very special exceptional night to beat this LCA team. And what makes it worse for Hazard is the fact that they beat LCA after getting beat so bad just four weeks before at this same time last year. You know that the score is all over the locker room from the last game. And the people around them remind the players of it everyday. This LCA team will be ready for this game physically and mentally. They had an easy game last week. Compared to last year.

This may be the best game of the night. Very good defense and hard hitting. Which B.C. is going to win? I'm going with Bell Co. in a tight game. 21-14.

I think that LCA's defense will be way to much for Hazard to overcome. LCA 42-14. LCA's kick off team does a great job of getting the ball in the corner and than filling the lanes with the outside containment staying home. I think that is what impressed me most about the kicking game. I don't know about the punting game. They never had to punt against us. Compared to all the other games we played. Our defense wasn't bad. WE gave up 20.2 ppg. But our offense gave up alot of those point. The LCA offense went through us like they were going up against the freshmen squad. If there is a better team out there this year I want to see them. The offenssive line ate our defensive line up. And they killed our linebackers. And that was the strength of our team. We did make it to the third round. So it wasn't like we didn't have a good team. LCA is just a great team on both sides of the ball. I haven't seen these two teams play. But I have followed them all year. I know that both have a storied history. I was let know how storied Mayfields history is.:lol: I wasn't around to much in the great years of Mayfield. Sure wish I could have been because I love to follow great teams. Both of these teams make Kentucky high school football what it is today. Great tradition, great experienced coaches, great atmosphere and kids wanting to grow up to play on the same field and team that they watched all those years. This I think is going to be a awesome game to watch. Players and fans both will be sky high. I'm torn on who I think will win. Mayfield has a big homefield advantage. Beechwood has a big 5-6 hour bus ride. That kind of makes me lean to Mayfield. While I was at the LCA/Raceland game I had the privilege to meet a Beechwood asst. coach. Just a great guy. Very knowledge of the game of course. And he has family in my little town. So I feel needed to pull for his team some. Although my heart says Mayfield is going to win. I think I'm going for the underdog Beechwood. Both of these teams will be a very big test for LCA. I must say the music was great. But the video. I'll have to let the wife view it first to see if it's ok for the kids. Little on the scary side! We wouldn't want the kids to wakeup in the middle of the night screaming. How can a Christian school send out a video like this. Is their not any oversight?

I guess you are right. Beechwood is champs untill a team takes the crown away from you. And that can only happen if you lose. I don't know if your #1 this year. But you are in the final 4. And each week that passes you seem to keep proving some people wrong. #1 in 09 I don't know. Class 1A Champs till you lose. YES.

John I forgot to say on the earlier post how nice it was to meet you. Well I'm saying it now. From the short time we all had to talk. It sounds like you are a football nut like the rest of us. Except you know what your talking about!! Hopefully we will all meet again. Good luck in the playoffs. Sorry we couldn't deliever a better game to watch. But I blame all of it on the LCA players and coaching staff! Not a bad looking team are they!

You got to love these LCA BGP guys. Unlike alot of the other fans that get on here. These guys have never bragged or gloated about the butt kickings they have delivered to so many of us. Man you sure could have last night. But no, all you did was say that the rams played hard and left it all on the field. And said things like we overcame so much. Raceland had a great year. Whats a matter with you men? You gave oldrambler the fan of the year award. I am now giving LCA the sportsmanship award of the year. If anyone agrees let them know.

I got to think both home teams are going to win next week. LCA and Mayfield. So you can put Hazard and Beechwood at 3 and 4 or 4 and 3. Doesn't matter. 1. LCA 2. Mayfield We have no third place game so it's irrelevant with the losing teams. I believe LCA and Mayfield are the two best 1A teams. And I want the best two teams playing for the championship. I hope that there is no upsets friday. But Beechwood and Hazard may have alot to say about it friday night. :popcorn: The final four. Alot of fans said it would turn out this way. Fans from the east to the west. Will the trophy go to the north, south, east or west team?

Big Rodney and A. J. didn't get into the game till after the 1st qtr. I don't remember seeing A. J. get in to the game the first half. He could have though. Our coaching staff sticks to their guns. And it drove me crazy about not letting them start. But as always they did the right thing. Us fans just want to win no matter what. But I'm sure Rodney and A. J. learned a very good lesson last night. I don't think the players would have learned anything with the RAM fans coaching!:taz:
