Final.

Congrats to the LCA Eagles on the Regional Championship. There is not much to say about this one. Raceland was taken behind the woodshed and then some. I look for LCA to win the State Championship and I hope they do.

Congrats to the LCA players coaches and fans on the win :thumb:, you people are a class act.

I want to say a special thank you to any and all who were involved with that "fan of the year" award. I appreciate it very much and don't really know what to say. I am sure that Ram, Bluto and TwoEagle had a hand in this as well........you guys are great. I will just repeat my post on this from the update thread..............

I want to thank each and everyone who came up with that award. I am actually embarrassed somewhat over it because there ar many fans that are as good as a fan as I. I wish I could get out to more games in person but physical limitation due the the multiple sclerosis keep me from doing things like I once did or would like to. I have followed Raceland sports along with most NEKY high school sports for over 35 years.

Thanks to Rams, Bluto and TwoEagle who I am sure had a hand in on this. Also, to anyone else that may have.

Bluto, TwoEagle......Congrats and good luck the rest of the way and we will see you at or place next season.

Thanks again to all.

note: I also want to thank LCA head football coach Paul Rains for his kind words and encouragement.

One more post and then hopefully others will post some. This one is to the Raceland Ram players.........

Rams, I am proud of you in how you overcame injuries along with dealing with other problems that hurt this team early this season. An 1-3 start after the first month to an 8-4 record and another appearance in a regional champiuonship game says alot about what you are made of.....100% Ram Pride!

This was a young Raceland team that came a long way as the season went along. Your record vs. Class A opponets was 5-2 with the only 2 losses coming to #1 ranked LCA. All other opponets were bigger schools.

Seniors....thank you for your dedication, heart, pride, blood, sweat and tears throughout the years an as we always say......"Once A Ram, Always A Ram"

As for the returning players for next season.....next season starts now! Good luck in your of season work outs, weight lifting and conditioning. Some of you will be on the track, basketball court and/or baseball field and that is great!

Once gaion, this Old Rambler is already looking foward to "Raceland Football 2010":thumb::thumb::ylsuper:

Old Rambler - Thanks for the support and kind words.

Coach Rains gets loads of credit for the award for you! He truly appreciates passionate fans and wanted to do something to recognize your fervor for the game. He is an amazing man - in this time of personal trials in his life - with his parents having some health issues over the past 2 years, Denise's parents having similar issues and now Denise with cancer starting this season - normal men would be feeing sorry for themselves - but he continues to look out for others and how he can help others. Sound familiar? Just like you do for the Raceland fans, players and coaches!

We are hopeful this award brings some good cheer to your life and that it lifts your spirits so that you may continue to bless those around you with your cheerfulness and wisdom.

Have a great evening and weekend.

Congrats to the Eagles. Keep on rolling!

Congrats also to the Rams, their seniors and their fans. You had a great season. Be proud of what you did accomplish!

Oldrambler sorry I did not get to meet or see you tonight. I met alot of good people at the game, Ram, Ram68, TwoEagles and Bluto what a super great bunch of guy's. Bluto done one heck of a job singing the national anthem and I thought the prayer in the North End of the End Zone prior to game was awesome. I talked to several Raceland fans and coaches prior to the game and what a great bunch of people. Since the Raceland side was full we moved to the LCA side of the field and another great bunch of fans. Especially the grill master and first time I had grilled bologna at a football

game. The people treated us super and now I know why all the good post about Raceland and LCA games. WOW WOW WOW was I impressed with LCA's football team. They are definitely a machine to watch. I met others however I could not remember everyones's names. Looks like I will be back again next Friday at LCA and another grilled bologna dinner. Thanks for the hospitality. JD

Grats to both teams and good luck to LCA, I'll see you in Bowling Green.

First off good luck to LCA in the remainder of their season. If we get beat by anyone i'd rather it be LCA. You guys have a great program and one of the best teams I have ever seen.

Rams I know any year you don't win the big one is "just another year" in the books. But this team exceeded alot of peoples expectations after the Fleming County game. You over achieved by winning 8 games this season.

For the seniors this year's senior class also overachieved, they were the winningest class to ever go through Raceland. With a regular season record of 30-10(not sure on that one but it's close) and several regional championship appearances.

It's 12:45am and we just got the car unloaded. I've had a few minutes to set down and think about what we (the Raceland fans) just went through. We just witnessed a machine like I don't think I have ever seen in 1A football. It was an awesome display of football on both sides of the ball. I love to watch the Witt kid. I think he is just a fantastic QB. The entire team plays with so much confidence. They are so much fun to watch. They block, hit, run, tackle ect. Everything LCA does is done with max effort. When we were on offense LCA seemed to be at the point of attack before we got there. Thats coaching and having great players.

I came in to this game thinking that just maybe we had a shot. Man was I wrong. We were out manned all over the field. IMO you are the best in the state. No doubt in my mind. My boys want to come back down friday to watch your game with Hazard. So I guess when you see the black and orange you will know who it is.

I believe I'll be there next week as well to see them battle Hazard:thumb:

Any stats

Bluto you did a great job singing. I was impressed. It was great to meet you.

Two Eagles it was also great to meet you. I look foward to posting with all of you the rest of this season. And my sons and I will be following you through the rest of the football season. And continue to keep tabs on LCA through basketball season. I hope you don't mind if we follow you through out the year in basketball just to see how it is going. It's always great to meet fans like the two of you.

Thanks for everything you did for us last night. It was beyond anything I expected. The entire LCA community went out of their way for us last night. From the nice people at the concessions to the radio plug for us, to giving the district fan award. And for all of us BGP'ers getting together for a few minutes. It was just great. Thank you so much.

And I can't go to sleep without saying something about the Raceland/Worthington coaching staff.

This staff IMO is one of the best. You all love what you do. You did a great job this year. To win 8 games after the way things started out the first 1/3 of the season is a tribute to this coaching staff.

A special thanks to coach Maynard, coach Sammons and coach Fannin for helping us out each tuesday with the JFL kids. The kids always looked foward to being at pratice on those days just to say they had been taught by the high school coaches. Thanks. Now lets get started on next season!

Just a quick word to congratulate you Rams on a great season. You played a tough schedule and prevailed and you should be proud of your accomplishments. Hold your head's high and i salute your season with a weenie dog and coca cola.... see ya next season.:clap::clap:
