Congratulations to LCA. It was simply their year this year. They have a few extremely talented seniors who are facing their last chance at winning a state title. It sounds like they came out on a mission.

 

As for the poster who asked about stats, the most amazing stat to me was that LCA amassed 460 yards of offense in the 1st half. That's difficult to do and I thought they were on their way to some sort of state record, but rightfully so, the starters didn't play in the 2nd half.

 

Congratulations to Raceland on another great season. Even though the Rams lost some major talent last year, they still managed to end up the season at the same point as last year's team did. I'm sure the only mulligans they'd like are Fleming and Greenup, but Ashland and LCA were just the better teams. I am sure Raceland will carry on with their offseason dedication and develop another good team for next season. They sure have a good QB to build around.

 

Lastly, of course, congratulations again to OldRambler. I always enjoy his posts and fans like him make high school football what it is.

Congrats to LCA on the win. You do everything right. Your execution is some of the best I've ever seen. And I've watch a lot of high school football. Good luck next week and we may travel down next week and see you whoop up on Hazard. I guess we would have to sit on the home side. Would that be OK? I still didn't get to met you guys, but maybe next time.

 

For the Rams. You guys proved a lot of people wrong this year. A lot thought you wouldn't even go .500. But 3 playoff games and another regional title game appearance is nothing to be ashamed. I enjoyed another great season of Ram football.

I do want to congratulate Old Rambler on the honor bestowed upon him by the good people of LCA. You are very deserving.

Very touching by the LCA people. I have never seen an opposing team honor someone else out of the goodness of their heart. Hats Off to ya.

I realize that Raceland doesn't have the best defense in the state but we certainly don't have the worst either, the Rams defense is not bad and has been playing pretty well.

Big Rodney and A. J. didn't get into the game till after the 1st qtr. I don't remember seeing A. J. get in to the game the first half. He could have though. Our coaching staff sticks to their guns. And it drove me crazy about not letting them start. But as always they did the right thing. Us fans just want to win no matter what. But I'm sure Rodney and A. J. learned a very good lesson last night. I don't think the players would have learned anything with the RAM fans coaching!:taz:

Rams, you truly left it out on the field. One of your players (Loren, I think) got injured early. I thought for sure he was out. But the next thing I know, he is back on the field. Your team showed incredible toughness.

Congratulations to LCA on the win, hope you can finish out the season as champions. Raceland Rams, proud to be your neighbor up the river. You guys have proven that hardwork, discipline, and most importantly, playing TEAM football can accomplish great things!

Rams, I am proud of you in how you overcame injuries along with dealing with other problems that hurt this team early this season. An 1-3 start after the first month to an 8-4 record and another appearance in a regional champiuonship game says alot about what you are made of

 

I want to echo that. You Rams had to overcome a great deal of adversity this year, on top of losing some great players to graduation. You really did excel beyond what most people could do.

You got to love these LCA BGP guys. Unlike alot of the other fans that get on here. These guys have never bragged or gloated about the butt kickings they have delivered to so many of us. John I forgot to say on the earlier post how nice it was to meet you. Well I'm saying it now. From the short time we all had to talk. It sounds like you are a football nut like the rest of us.
