Guess I am the only one that rambles on.....ok whatever Fans were happy with Tubby Smith for awhile too, then it was time to go.....you see it happened to Bobby Bowden as well,except he had to be ran off,didn't know when to give it up. Woody Hayes...another...great coaches whose time had come. No wonder Raceland fans want him to stay, and would not like to see an overhaul from top to bottom. Those state championships were nice, maybe Raceland gets theirs in the 1-A division soon. Ivan is paid to do one thing...win and beat teams he should. The system needs fixed.

Players complain about coaches...period, it happens on the Rams also. No one can argue, the Russell system needs an overhaul.Players missed blocks,assignments,and turnovers,yes the players were at fault. McGlone makes his share as well, not utilizing players in mismatches on the field. When parents can call the plays before they are run....maybe its time to mix it up? You act like coaches are beyond reproach. Bottom line is winning,the coaching staff owes the parents and fans,not the other way around.

Everything you underlined goes to one thing? who is in charge of making them work harder? the fans?You can say a better team,but you must say your coaching staff outcoached the Russell staff as well,although the coaches didn't fumble the ball. I would say it had more to do with turnovers as to "a better team", they were on this night,but eliminate the turnovers it would be even at least teamwise. Davidson is the best player on the field and at 6'5"-240lbs, and athletic,should be utilized more in the offense. DeHoff should have been developed into the qb,utilizing Hayes in more effective positions. This has been complained by a heckuva lot more than myself but it is what it is. Yes,McGlone is a great coach,person,a Ky hall of famer in the high school ranks,no one questions that, but many,many thinkit is time for a change in direction in the whole program. He must take the good with the bad. Look at the whole program,top to bottom in the development of younger players, the bottom line is winning,and Russell via McGlone has lost ability to field teams as they should. Heap the praise,he deserves it, but he is not perfect,nor above being held responsible. New structure and leadership is needed top to bottom.

uhhh Painter, I gave him respect as a great coach and person,who ,Like Bobby Bowden at Florida St,has hung on too long,and the game has changed. It is time to park the bus, because clearly Russell needs new direction. Bowden had to have an ugly separation,granted that is for much higher stakes, but at the same time,would be nice to see him retire with dignity. Just putting down what most have been saying for a few years. Shooting freethrows granny style went out of style,so has Mcglone. Times change,the game evolves.

I understand,it was under my post and didn't understand why a Raceland supporter would mention it. Because I didnt,nor intended to,simply said if there is a video on youtube, they very easily can be watched,copied etc for viewing pleasure. Great win and good luck in the playoffs

Maynard had a great game-plan, McGlone had the same game plan he has done for ever. Good man, but he should have parked the bus in 2006. The game has evolved and he has not. Turnovers were critical, Davidson will play somewhere in college,his high school career was good but should have been lights out good for this area. Congrats Rams
