LCA fans and Coach Rains have shown what high school football is all about. I think it is great that we can have a big rivalry like we do and the fans can still be respectful. I like all others on both sides of this rivalry hate to lose and want to soundly beat the opponet but I also can give congrats were it is due and respect the opposition as well.

 

LCA...... I hope that you finish this thing out and win it all.

 

Rams..... Get ready to go back to work on the 2010 season and lets make 2010 our season!

Well, I didn't think it was possible, but while on I was on the phone with oldrambler and his award was being presented, yes that's right, oldrambler was truly and completely, speechless. An amazing time for me to witness.

Ram is right, I truly did not know what to say and I sent e-mails and pms to the LCA friends along with others in appreciation.

I also want to thank all of the Raceland fans along with some others who sent and/or posted congrats, I am no more of a fan than any one of you. I just may run my mouth a little more........maybe.

Oldrambler, From what Ram and Ram68 said you are the true fan. I am happy they awarded it to you and was in the stands to hear it. I enjoy reading your comments and you are a true Ram fan. I just wished I could have met you at the game. I thought everyone I met at LCA was terrific and very friendly. And Michael Salmons introduced me to some of his coaches. What a great bunch of people I met. Again CONGRATS and it was well deserved. JD

I agree 68, LCA is the epitome of sportsmanship, other schools should take heed and strive to do the same.

Congratulations to LCA! You guys threw everythng at us and spanked us hard. You guys seem very determined and focused and that is what it takes to finish this season on top. I am cheering you on for the next 2 games.

Man you sure could have last night. But no, all you did was say that the rams played hard and left it all on the field. And said things like we overcame so much. Raceland had a great year. 68, you are new to me here on BGP, so we have not interacted much. My experience over the past 4+ years with Raceland fans has reminded me of a C.S. Lewis quote from The Last Battle.

Bringing up the literary component of the thread, I am compelled to offer koudos to the sign that ran down your home side stands where the teams entered the field. It said, "Run Roughshod over Raceland." I know this was used against my team but it has to be my favorite sign. I have seen many as a player and as a fan, but this one really struck a cord with me. We had to explain it to a few which made it funnier to me.

I must say the music was great. But the video. I'll have to let the wife view it first to see if it's ok for the kids. Little on the scary side! We wouldn't want the kids to wakeup in the middle of the night screaming. How can a Christian school send out a video like this. Is their not any oversight?

I also want to acknowledge "The Greatest Fan", you have been at more Raceland football games than I through the years. Especially lately due to my illness. One thing for sure ism that between the both od us we have certainly seen alot of Raceland Football through the years. TGF and I are the same age, graduated H.S. (1975) together and there is not a better person, Raceland fan anywhere. I guess that I just have a bigger mouth :ohbrother:(more post) and more time on my hands and I am glad that everyone puts up with me (LOL).

 

Thank you again to the LCA people/fans, Bluto,TwoEagles and Coach Rains, Ram and the Raceland folks involved for all of your part in this. I truly appreciate it and just wanted to acknowledge that there are certainly other dedicated fans as well :thumb:

 

One thing is for certain.......there is no shortage at Raceland or LCA of great fans that love the game, know the game and support the kids and that is what it is really all about, supporting the kids!
